Enjoyed a stay here for a whole week in September 2012. We stayed in a one bedroom suite and although not fancy they have everything you need and are large and very clean as well as having a nice homey feel. Price was very reasonable. English is spoken at the front desk. They preferred that you dropped off your key at the front desk so they would know when to clean which was a good idea so if we got split up whoever got back first could get in. Enjoyed the location of this hotel as it was right next to the old town with restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance. We used the kitchen, it was pretty minimalistic but we were able to improvise, no coffee maker though. Make sure you close both doors when cooking as smells permeate the hotel. There was a grocery store and bakery just around the corner about 2 blocks away…very convenient. We pack very light for our European trips so the laundry was a great bonus.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The rooms are like a small appartment! It has a laudry section, a living room with kitchenet, a room and a bathroom. It also has an independent A/C unit which is great because you can trully regulate the room's temperature everytime.. The decoration is plain but ok and both beds and sofá are confortable. The living room had an extra bed that could be used for a child or a third adult. We didn't use the kitchnet but everything seemed fuctional and you could buy a cleaning kit for 2,5€. The door uses a traditional key and the power was not connect to a card system so you could go out leaving everything charging.
Only the shower missed some water pressure and it turned from hot to cold very quicky...
Breakfast was not a buffet. We had to go to the cafeteria and order like a normal café. You were intitled to a coffee with milk, a natural orange juice and you coul choose between a croissant and a toast. I think normally breakfast is included because they never asked for a room number...
Location is a plus! Very near the city center and next to a free parking lot, great if you travel by car. Staff is Nice and helpfull. Next to the hotel you'll find a great restaurant called "assador real" where you can at a resonable price.

We stayed for 4 nights in this hotel and we liked it - the flat was clean and comfortable and the location is fine -- it's by a park with two playgrounds (one for toddlers and one for older children) and a taxi rank, and it's a 5-10m walk from the city centre. The only thing I have to complain about is the poor choice as regards tv channels - it does make a big difference when you travel with kids. If it weren't for the European Championship Cup we'd have to put up with about five channels and all in Spanish. Dr.House in Spanish? No thanks.

The Hotel Apartamentos Dabarca was a great place to stay in Pontevedra, Spain. They rooms were large and roomy and could really fit parents and two small children. Our rooom had a kitchenette but we did not need to use it. The parking situation in front is iffy and the parking above the hotel, across the street was kind of expensive, twelve Euros or so. The wifi in the room was free and there is a breakfast room but we left without giving it a try. The staff is always present in this quiet hotel. One warning though- the GPS could not find the place easily! You have to drive around. The beds were the "Spanish Special" - two twins pushed together.

This is the kind of hotel we could have used in every city we visited in Spain -- two rooms, one comfortable bedroom and a living room/kitchen, as well as a small laundry closet with a washing machine. As much as we came to enjoy Spain's daily schedule of afternoon siestas and late dinners, it was nice on some evenings to cook our own dinner and eat a little earlier than the usual restaurant opening time of 9 p.m. The location was also wonderful -- right next to the old city but still easy to approach by car, with free on-street parking usually available within a block or two. Staff was also very helpful and courteous, patiently giving us mini-lessons with our Spanish when we asked for them.
