As many other Paradores in Spain this hotel is located in a lovely place in Soria, on top of a hill overlooking the old city and the beautiful nearby river Duero. The hotel rooms are large in size and the installations are all quite modern compared to other Paradores, sharing with them the extraordinary buffet breakfast full of local delicatessens and high quality food and coffee. Definitely, a very recommended place to spend a weekend and visit the city and the nice surroundings.

We ended there not by choice, the wedding we were attending was held there. The rooms fantastic, the breakfast unreal, customer service second to none.
If you are planing a road trip, just stay there, visit the town, eat some morcilla and enjoy the scenery, it's worth it.

This is a modern Parador sitting on top of a hill with easy access to the town below (probably not if you are disabled as it's quite steep). The town is pretty and there are things to see as well as plenty of places to eat and drink.

Room was average size but we had a lovely balcony which was either enclosed or you could have the windows open which gave a lovely personal space. Bathroom was nice and well appoointed but the shower doesn't really function well as a proper shower even though the screens are meant to form a cubicle you can't have the shower on with any power or it flirts off the wall or sprays the bathroom. Lovely toiletries provided including some nice cologne

Breakfast and dinner were delicious and again lovely to have veggie options. Plenty of parking for the bikes and friendly staff who came running out to greet us and ask if we'd had a good journey. We had but beware if using a GPS ours took us up a narrow windy hill at the top of which was a dead end with 12 steps (I know we have off road bikes but.....) and it was a bit of a nightmare to turn round.

This was the first Parador on our 7 stay trip in the Rioja and Navarra regions of Northern Spain. Although the hotel is modern it is wonderfully located on a hillside overlooking Soria, but within just a few minutes easy walk to the toen centre.

Modertn build incorporating some of the castle. Easy to arrive at and good parking.

Modern light rooms with enclosed balcony looking over countryside. Comftable beds. Minibar and flat screen TV, standard Parador bathroom but with bidet. Bath but a hand shower which did not function as stand-up shower inspite of fittings - this should be rectified, in such hot climates many prefer to take a shower.

Restaurant and menu excellent. Breakfast about average for Paradors.

Service always friendly.

Soria is a very pleasant town buzzing with life during the day. The hotel is on a hill high above the town with amazing views over Soria, the river and surrounding countryside. The hotel is found quite easily by following signs from the town & is set in a very beautiful wooded area. The Parador was built in the 1960's & I'm not sure planning would be granted now as it is a bit of a blot on the landscape. The hotel is within walking distance of the town but it's a steep walk back! The reception staff are very helpful & polite especially one young man who spoke very good english. The room was spacious, clean, quiet & comfortable. The restaurant staff were good & the breakfast buffet excellent but dinner was disappointing. The main course grilled steak served cold with nothing else on the plate. Although we were booked on a dinner bed & breakfast rate this did not include desert or it seems vegetables. The walk along the river is good & about 3/4 of an hour's drive away is a beautiful area called in english The Black Lagoon which is well worth a visit. I would recommend this hotel to a friend but one night is enough. Unfortunately we were staying two nights!
