Casa Mariantonia is a great option for staying on the island, tucked away from the day-trip bustle of the main town in charming Anacapri. It has a neighborhood vibe rather than the hectic package-tour feel of Capri proper. You feel like you're amongst locals instead of other tourists.
We enjoyed strolling around the neighborhood in the evenings with its fine selection of restaurants, cafes, and little shops, not to mention the hotel's own lemon-grove restaurant, La Zagara, and the adjacent wine bar. A pleasant place to relax after a day spent negotiating the crowds and hefty prices of the Piazzetta area or walking along the many trails in Capri.
The sites of Anacapri itself are a short walk from the premises, as are the buses and taxis in the main square. The staff speak excellent English and are very helpful with advice and suggestions about what to do and where to go. Breakfast was also great with lots of choices and the room was very comfortable and quiet despite its proximity to the street. Highly recommended.

Casa Mariantonia is a welcoming and friendly small resort. The property is very clean with a lovely lemon grove, wine bar, restaurant and pool. The shower, as most European showers, is a small corner situation...lots of elbow banging. The wine bar crowd spills over into the entry lobby in the evening...bringing their smoke with them but there is a closed door to separate the hallway to the rooms. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly; the restaurant provided good food and service. We were there late April/early May and the resort was quiet.

Room tip: Lovely doors onto a balcony overlooking the lemon grove.

We and our guests (in a total of 4 rooms) enjoyed our stay in Casa Mariantonia from start to finish. Every aspect - the spacious, beautiful, and excellently equipped rooms, the charming and helpful staff, the delicious breakfast, and the gorgeous location and pool area - made our stay memorable. The adjacent wine bar was a nightly hit!

Lovely personal attention,(The young lady introducing us to the property and caring for each of our requests was so engaging and interested in helping that my wife and I were certain that she was one of the young owners of the property - not until the day we departed did we learn that she was happily employed, but not an owner!) Terrific room and bath that featured a terrace overlooking a lemon tree garden. Perfect retreat following glorious days of Island adventure. Ah Capri!

Room tip: ask for a room with a terrace

This is such a comfortable place to stay in Anacapri. Nicely situated on a pedestrian-only street. The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly, yet respect their visitors’ privacy. We even had a chance to use the pool, which was lovely. Breakfast was nice, with made-to-order coffee :)
