This lovely Bed & Breakfast has a multi-layered garden overlooking heart of Anacapri and the ocean below. Our room was charming and our bathroom had a luscious deep tub. After choosing to go hiking, the bathtub and calming sounds of nature in the garden were delightful!
The host at The Sunset is absolutely charming. Every morning she treats her guests to a fresh breakfast in a breakfast building overlooking the gardens. These lovely breakfasts consist of local fresh fruits, breads, yogurts, teas, Italian and American coffees, etc. On our first morning, when she realized that I was vegan, she sent her son out of town to get me appropriate breakfast foods (Ex.: soy yogurts and extra local fresh fruits).
Also, if you know what you'd like to do the next day, this amazing host has wonderful affordable connections. She will happily arrange for your taxi services, your private boat tour around the island, etc.
I cannot wait to go back to Anacapri and Il Tramonto - The Sunset!

If you are wanting a holiday with a taste of Capri stay here. It is very peaceful with fantastic views, especially at Sunset. Luciana is a perfect hostess with lots of knowledge about the best walks around the island. Even though we are not the fittest of couples we were determined and managed no problem. Luciana organised a fantastic boat trip for us around the island which is a definite must so that you can see it in its glory from the sea. Having never been to Capri before we did not know what to expect and loved Anacapri as it is quieter than other parts of the island. However even in May it is busy and the buses crowded, but fun. I would recommend this B&B wholeheartedly..

Firstly, Capri is very expensive in every way!! A special taxi needs to be booked by the host to carry your luggage if you have large bags! The taxi trip from Capri port to the BnB costs 35euros each way.
Once you get off the cab, u have a 10 mins walk on a narrow, roughish path to reach the entrance of the place. Then many steps down to reach your rooms.
Host Luciana was very welcoming and explained the sightseeing options in Capri very well. She has also arranged the taxi for us immediately on calling her.
Unfortunately the Jaccuzi in our room was pretty much a waste because we kept getting cold water and when the problem was attended to, it was still not hot enough for an enjoyable jacuzzi experience. A LOT of water had to be wasted before it was hot enough to fill the tub and the water temperature was temperamental; there was hot water only at a particular angle and if u fiddled with it even a little bit, there was cold water instantly.

At night, despite confirming with the owner that the heaters had been turned on in the rooms, it had not been started. So, when we returned to the room at night, we were absolutely freezing in the room and the floor was cold. We started the room heater but it took extremely, extremely long to make the room even tolerably cold.
The radiators took even longer to start up.
We were tired and sleepy and the cold made it a very, very, uncomfortable experience. When we got up early in the morning, the radiators were cold once again.

The dinner restaurant suggested by them which is just 2-3 mins from the BnB was an unhappy experience!
There was almost no choice available, and since the hostess/owner spoke no English whatsoever, we could not communicate our preferences anyway.
Also very expensive and took an hour to come to the table!!

The Breakfast was fairly basic, just bread and toast, a slice of cake, satchets of butter, jam, cheese and some slices of fresh fruit, coffee (which did not smell like coffee at all) and a cereal !

The place is scenic and very nice and clean.
Host is good but weighing all the Pros and Cons, I would definitely recommend some place more accessible.
Definitely a No-No for people with climbing problems or knee issues!!

There is a bus stop down from the other side, after a 10 minute climb down from the place.
Also an issue for people with leg problems.

We had Baggage which we could not leave with the baggage storage at the port (storage opens earliest by 9 am, we had an early ferry out of Capri), it worked out very expensive and very tiring with all the carrying of our bags!!

All in all, a mixed experience for us! While the island was great, the stay was pretty much a poor experience for us!!
May not be so for everyone!!

Il Tramonto is a beautiful little B&B with amazing views and sunsets. It’s affordable, very clean, and well kept. Luciana and her family were warm and welcoming. The B&B is located just a short 100m walk from Piazza Caprile up a cute path. My children and I enjoyed the walk up to the B&B, it gave us the feeling of really being a part of the local village. But it may not be the best fit for the elderly or anyone who has trouble walking 100m and navigating a few steps. We arrived early and Luciana acomodated us and even fed my children some breakfast. She provided expert knowledge of things to do on the island. I plan on staying with them again on my next visit and would recommend them to my friends.

Our host Sabrina was very helpful in telling everything we could visit on the island and pointed it out on the map. She took the time to help us with everything we needed, even as we stayed for only 1 night. The room was small but nice and clean. The breakfast was ok. There is a very nice view from the terrace. You have to walk about 10 minutes from the busstop to the B&B.
