I stayed at Monte Solaro for two nights and it was the most relaxing, comfortable, beautiful hotel/b&b I have ever stayed at.

The room was clean and very spacious, Constanzo's knowledge, kindness and hospitality were amazing. I was travelling with my friend and he would stay up at night waiting for us to get back to make sure that we were safe.

Please note** CALL when you arrive at Piazza Vittoria so he can pick you up. Lugging 45 lbs of suitcases, purses, whatever, is no fun when climbing a steep hill. But the challenge was all worth it when we got to the top to the B&B and saw those breathtaking views.

I was somewhat skeptical at first looking at all the nice professional photos, but what you see, is in fact, what you get. Also be aware that the check-in area is the sliding door at the far back of the b&b

I would definitely come back with my boyfriend for a romantic getaway: couples looking for a honeymoon place - this is where you want to be!

My wife and me spent two fantastic days in Capri during our honeymoon trip through Italy. We found out Monte Solaro B&B to be a great place to stay!! The view we had from our bedroom and in the whole hotel was just fantastic. Don't miss the beautiful sunset view in the afternoon, having a good expresso coffee made by Costanzo, or having a good Italian beer. The atention in the hotel is excellent. Everyone is looking forward to making you feel comfortable. Don't forget to contact Costanzo before arriving the hotel, so he can pick you up in the Piazza where buses and taxis leave you.

We enjoyed Costanzo and his families hospitality, we felt they went out of their way to make us comfortable and welcome.

Breakfast was enjoyable, esp the homemade yogurt (machine is inside so if bf is being served outside just ask).

The room was fairly spacious and very comfortable. Block out blinds and peace and quiet made for great sleep ins.

The position is high, which makes for an outstanding veiw, but also many stairs. If you're not comfortable with this you can call from the bottom to recieve a lift otherwise from the square head up underneath the chairlift down the path past the cemetery and take the first left (look for the little sign) and away you go for a good 5 - 10 minutes of stairs. But they made it very clear that they will pick you up - no problems. It's a million dollar view that you can't have at the bottom of the hill!!

Would definatley stay here again.

We stayed for two nights, after spending 3 nights at Positano Coast. When we arrived on the island, the cab driver knew to call our hotel to let them know we were arriving so they could meet at the bottom of the hill. Right away, Costanzo greeted us at the parking lot and was extremely friendly. He gave us great tips on what to do and when to go. What made this 4 stars, was Costanzo & his brother's service & the stunning view of the island. Both brothers offered to take us up & down the steep hill on nights we had dinner reservations. Both gave us great recommendations for dinner- and did not disappoint. For this alone, deserved 5 stars. The reason I am taking a star away was because we did not get the room that we booked online, and ended up in a smaller room without a view, and ended up paying the same price. Costanzo was very up front about us not getting that room, but for some reason did not change the price. Apparently all rooms are the same price, which did not seem fair to me. The location of the B&B was okay, as Capri is a solid 20 euro cab ride, or a 1.80 euro bus ride (the buses that run to capri only run at certain times in the off-season). Depends on what you are looking to do when you get there. The B&B is near Monte Solaro chair lift, (just a short walk) and a short bus ride to Faro where the lighthouse is. The breakfast they served was just okay- there was cereal but no cold milk, only steamed, and beside that they had an okay croissant, salami, cheese, and toast. All in all, if you are looking for somewhere away from the touristy Capri center and just want to relax (and aren't too worried about breakfast), this is a great place to stay as they will treat you like family.

Room Tip: Costanzo said the room that we stayed in (the only one without a nice shower) is going to be redone for the summer... so you all rooms will be of the same value.

We stayed here for 2 nights , wanted to stay and extra night but was full, so we had to move on.
Stanzo is a fantastic Host and just for the record, Stanzo I cant say I am in love with Grappa, as much as you tried to make me. The place has a great view is very clean and roomy , along with a nice breakfast and the kind offers to pick us up at the bottom of the lane was great, but I needed the walk up after all the food and wine .
would stay here again in a heart beat
