We were staying at this B&B last August, and we enjoyed incredibly our days there. The farm is very charmful, and the best thing was by far the handmade (and very abundant) food of Milena. I strongly recommend to have dinner there under the light of the stars and the beautiful views of Anacapri at night. Of course, this is agritourism and not a luxury hotel so you have to like a rural atmosphere. A perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy the authentic side of Capri, appart from the touristic and eccentric life of the island.

TerraMMare is not a typical over-decorated B&B. It is a rustic stay with a lively authentic owner. Staying with Signora Milena reminds me of being with my Italian mother in her country home. If your goal is simply to be a tourist on the island, this place won't be for you. If you want to have a feel of country Italian living, with all its pros and cons, you will always fondly remember your trip to TerraMMare.

We were three couples staying at TerraMMare for three days in late May 2012. We each had separate rooms and found them very clean and comfortable. We had been in Italy 2 weeks and this was the most comfortable bed of the trip. The owner bought the property when it looked like the ruins of Pompeii and has restored and rebuilt the property from that state of ruin. The farm is a typical terraced farm like is seen all across the island or Sorrentine peninsula. She is in the process of rebuilding the stone walls of the terraces and planting fruit orchards and vegetable gardens. We ate fresh fruit and vegetables from Malina's gardens each day for breakfast and dinner. The food was delicious and the vino flowed freely. For 30 euros each we could not have eaten better or cheaper any where on the island, picked and ate fresh strawberries right off the vine. Do plan to arrive mid afternoon or certainly before 7pm to ensure transportation pick up from the marina, just call Malina's and schedule pick up. This isn't a franchised American hotel so don't expect that you can arrive any time of day or night and be accommodated. Malina's employees are truly dedicated and put in long days. yes they go home by 8 pm! Arrive early, settle in, have dinner with Malina on her terrace and enjoy a beautiful sunset with the sea and Island of Ischia off in the distance. You can walk all over Anacapri from TerramMare but it isn't in the center of town so if that is your presence take that into consideration. TerramMare is a great place to stay for those who enjoying walking, exploring, being in a more rustic setting and meeting a kind hearted, generous eccentric hostess. If you are kind to her you'll have a wonderful stay, if you're a jerk she might boot you out....after all, it's her house!!!

For our part we loved our stay at TerramMare, Marisa, Gabe, Cheryl, Brian, Roger and Judy

P.S. One night we were there a young couple arrived late and missed the shuttle, they took a taxi that dropped them at the wrong place. Malina's had one of the restaurant severs on her staff walk down to the weary travelers to show them the way and help with their bags. She learned it was the girls birthday and that they were on their honeymoon so she made her a special tiramisu for her birthday. As they arrived we all sang happy birthday and Malina brought the young couple a bottle of champaign.

Room Tip: The room at the top with the terraces is awesome.

It was a difficult stay - no transportation to hotel after 8:00 pm , 15 mins walk from anacapri bus stop. Farm house has a weird smell of meat & cattle everywhere.

Rooms are not like the images you can see on the website, the owner is very rude, the location is not so beautiful... The animals are closed in very small cages. Bad sanitary conditions. And very very expensive... Transfer service doesn't work at all. We had very bad days there, don't go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
