My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon and we spent a night at the Caesar Augustus, which is truly one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever been to, made only more exceptional by the fact that it sits in an indescribably stunning setting. The hotel itself has the most authentic vintage aesthetic, which makes you feel like you are spending a night in an earlier decade, with every detail preserved beautifully (but of course all of the modern comforts you expect in a luxury hotel). Because it was the last night of their open season, the hotel was throwing an end of year celebration which included the family of the owners as well as the entire hotel staff. The owner graciously welcomed us to the party, and invited us to join his family for a celebratory dinner at the hotel restaurant afterward. I am not exaggerating at all when I say that the meal we had that night was the best we had during our two weeks spent around Italy. Even with the incredible views, food and drinks, I have to say that the personnel was what truly set this hotel apart. In addition to the owner of the hotel warmly including us in a celebration with his family, every single member of the staff was not only accommodating and helpful, but genuinely cheerful and pleasant to interact with. It probably goes without saying, but I can not recommend a stay at the Caesar Augustus enough, and we are already planning a trip back!

Beautiful from start to finish. This hotel and staff really have it. From the owner to the maid. Stunning views, a magical environment, superb food and a place most of us only dream of. I felt like royalty and wish we all could enjoy this experience.

Serenaded, by a humble gentleman of the stars. Thank you and God Bless.

The rooms were beautifully decorated, and even though the balconies were pretty close, Capri has so much to offer that nobody stays in their room.

PS. We stayed in August 2017 and not November.

When the manager/owner’s son greets you at the door and insists that the entire staff is at your disposal, he means it! Literally, everyone made us a priority.

We are lucky enough to have stayed at some wonderful hotels through our travels; and, on this trip, these included: The Timeo in Taormina and Il San Pietro in Positano (also a Relais & Chateaux). Without a doubt, we rank the service at Caesar Augustus as the absolute best. It strikes the perfect balance. What sets it apart from these other amazing hotels (and from Punta Tragara) is the ambiance; it is beyond convivial. Not to sound too dramatic, the hotel has a soul. The staff, and the evening musicians), are proud to work there and the concierges Federica and Francesca will do anything to please.

We visited at the end of the season but it felt like we were there at the beginning; they certainly made an extra effort to keep the summer holiday spirit going. There was a cocktail party one night with special music. I think it is very important to host these type of events. We enjoyed talking with other guests, as well as the staff, and will remember that the hotel took the time (and extra expense) to make our visit exceptional.

We left Capri by helicopter and took this aerial shot of the hotel. It shows the majesty of the place. I haven’t even mentioned the beauty of the hotel, the gardens or the rooms but see other reviewers included those details. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Caesar Augustus!

Absolutely smitten upon arriving at the entrance. very nice clean European-esque interior. Hotel staff are ready to greet us upon arriving, gave us a brief introduction on the place, had a refreshing drink while taking a short stroll towards the "suspended" terrace. Splendid view across the entire Bay of Naples, the calm blue sea, a view of Capri Town, the hills on the other side of the island..... go to Capri, and stay there, you will get what I mean. So happens the owner of the hotel (Paolo) was around the corner and greeted us as well. The owners are always around the resort compound, and are open to chat at anytime. We were then brought for a full tour around the resort before proceeding to our room. Junior suite with sea view (I think, Room 404). very clean, nicely done, great colour selection and combinations, very soothing. The infinity swimming pool overlooking the sea is another fantastic place to relax. Dinner restaurant is AMAZING. must try. hotel is 3 minutes walk to anacapri town centre, 12 minutes drive to Capri town centre. Will definitely be back, advised visit period April to Mid Oct.

Room tip: Suites are generally beautiful

This was a nice couple of days relaxing after traveling some of the tourist circuit of Italy. I wish we had more days to spend here and will definitely return. The hotel was beautiful as is the location. Very attentive staff. The restaurant serves fresh food from their garden and the food was amazing. Easy walk to Anacapri and a nice hike down to Capri (but take a taxi or bus back!).
