“Stunning views, wonderful service spectacular 10/10”
Reviewed April 26, 2014 via mobile

We received a complimentary upgrade to a suite. The manager Lucia came to visit us personally which was a nice touch. The service was second d to none. The restaurant staff, bar staff especially Giovanni and reception staff catered to our every need and went out of their way to accommodate us. The reception and concierge service was beyond reproach. The suite was spacious, clean, well stocked and had a good turn down service. Room service was efficient and discrete. Mini bar service was complimentary and replenished every day which was a very nice touch. The view from the room, the bar and the infinity pool was amazing. It was out of this world. We will be definitely be staying there again.

Dear Raffaello

Arriving on the island of Capri in a heavy rain shower didnt seem to be a very promising start to our short break, but the welcome we received from the Caesar Augustus staff at the Marina was excellent and efficient, she raced us to a taxi so that we didnt get too wet. Then the journey in the taxi was funny and terrifying at the same time, at times we seemed to be driving up the side of a sheer mountain face, but the taxi driver put us at ease but announcing with pride 'If you can drive on Capri, you can drive anywhere!'.

The reception staff, whilst not the most effusive and friendly that I have ever met, were without exception, helpful and efficient. To be fair, they were generally very busy, so this probably had something to do with it.

We were quickly settled into our room, and the view over the Bay of Naples (even in the rain) took our breaths away. The room was tastefully furnished, and I have to say that generally I slept well throughout our stay. Only one negative here, and that is that the noise from other rooms was surprisingly loud. We could clearly hear conversations in other rooms and one night had to endure someone snoring for several hours. However, this is only a small issue, and we would probably ask for a top floor room in future, as I would assume that they would be quieter, or take ear plugs!

A 'light' lunch with an excellent local white wine in the restaurant, with the rain clearing so that we could appreciate the imposing sight of Vesuvius, started what proved to be an amazing 3 days of fabulous food. It also saw the start of a lively banter with the waiters in the restaurant, who were not only 100% efficient, but were also funny, personable and informative, Pasqualie and his colleagues were just brilliant.

Having been somewhat impressed by the lunch that we had, we were then 'blown away' by the stunning romantic meal that the chef prepared for us that evening. Each course surpassed the previous one, and given that neither of us normally eat dessert, we both ate all of the delicious final course - I will be attempting to make Campari jelly! Breakfast the next morning also didnt disappoint, plenty of it and lots of choice.

So, in an effort not to ramble on too much, in brief: the cocktails in the lounge, the infinity pool, the massages, the ambiance, the scenery, even the weather, combined with all of the above to make our stay absolutely fabulous. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and the island of Capri.....even the sun made a welcome appearance.

Needless to say, we will return, but next time for longer than just 3 days!

Room Tip: Try for a top floor to cut down on transferred room noise.

My husband and I were in Anacapri two weeks ago and were looking for a place with a wonderful view where we could have a drink. Someone directed us to the Caesar Augustus hotel and we wandered into their property late in the afternoon looking terribly unkempt and wind-blown. There seemed to be some work going on, but we didn't pay much attention. A very distinguished-looking gentleman was just getting into his car but came up to us and asked if he could help. When we told him what we were there for, he said that unfortunately the hotel was still closed for the season but that he was the owner and would be happy to show us around. He said that hospitality was what a hotel was about. He took us into the hotel and showed us the views all around and chatted with us for a bit. Before we left he said that he would love to offer us a drink if we would come back when the hotel re-opened for the season two days later.(Unfortunately we were leaving the next day, so couldn't do that)
The hotel was stunning and the views drop-dead gorgeous, and if we go back to Capri we will definitely try to stay there! However, the hospitality and kindness shown by Mr. Signorini to two very scruffy people was what really touched us. He is the essence of a true gentleman!

Well, it's time to check out after four nights here. It's been a memorable stay. The staff is superb and very friendly. The food in the restuarant is amazing, specially the Ravioli Caprese (who can not love pasta and cheese!). But the location! It's mind-blowing! On the top of a steep cliff overlooking the sea. In the distance you can see Sorento, Napoli and the mighty Vesuvius. This hotel is the perfect romantic geta-away. It is not the cheapest hotel but when you really want to spoil yourself this is where to go.

A shuttle service takes you on the (scary) narrow road directly from the harbour up to the hotel. This was my first stay in Capri and I'm actually already planing to get back this autumn before the season ends. The climate here this early in the year is maybe not the best but everything else makes up for it.

Room Tip: Try to get a sea view room, otherwise you will be facing the (only) road from Capri to Anacapri. It...

If you go here just expect to pay for it....but it is definitely worth it to splurge. Everything we had was amazing and the view is worth going for alone. Definitely recommend. Possibly best service of my life as well.

Hotel is on top of Ana Capri. The views are amazing. The staff was very nice and balcony's were everywhere, even our room. You could see Naples and the Blue Grotto from the restaurant balcony.
Would go back in a second.

Room Tip: Seems that they are all nice here.

This was an absolutely spectacular hotel with extremely friendly staff. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The hotel shuttle picked us up right after our boat docked and took us up a winding drive to the hotel which is stunningly perched on the cliffside. The restaurant was delicious and the pool was serene. The grounds and views are absolutely awe inspiring from every vantage point! My Tripadvisor profile photo is from the Caesar Augustus during my visit as the sun was setting! When I make it back to Anacapri, I will definitely stay here again!
