I'm so happy we stayed at Villa Damecuta. From the moment we arrived, when Raffaella offered us ice tea and explained us everything about the Island, until the moment we left, everything was perfect. The B&B is some 5 to 10 minutes of a very pleasant and picturesque walk to the center of Anacapri - I didn't see any another hotels/B&B's next to it or on the way to town. You can almost feel like you are part of the Island.
As mentioned by many others here on Trip Advisor, Raffaella and her lovely family will do everything to make your experience an enjoyable one - without at any moment being intrusive to their guests.
My girlfriend and I stayed in the room Raffaella said to be the simplest one, Oasi. Although not luxurious (not what I looking for) it had everything necessary for a comfortable stay: very nice and large bed, fridge, air conditioning, nice shower and towels and a good overall size. The room faced the lovely garden with its beautiful flowers and fruit trees (lemosn, peache, figs, etc.) an it was EXTREMELY quiet, just the way I like!
The breakfast had everything you need for a good start - the jewel being the omelet with buffalo mozzarella and fresh vegetables from their garden.
Raffaella will give you great suggestions of restaurants, attractions, walks, and will explain to you all you need to move around the island.
I much preferred Anacapri better than Capri, both day and night - most of the attractions of the island are there (Blue Grotto, chair lift, Villa San Michelle) and it has far less tourists than Capri, especially at night - the streets are extremely charming and the people very nice and helpful to any requests.
We have decided that next time we go to Europe we'll visit the Island again certainly will stay here and enjoy this magical experience.
Some tips - if you enjoy walking the blue grotto is some 40 minutes down the road from the B&B and you can take a bus on the way back. By doing this you will take a good walk and save some bucks from the boat that leaves from the Marina in Capri.
If you get lost at any moment in the maze of Anacapri, don't worry - you will find yourself soon enough! If necessary ask for directions and people will be more than happy to help you!
Thank you Raffaella!

We were so pleased to have chosen this B&B to stay in. The room was simple, clean, cool and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful, with superb fresh orange juice. Location-wise, it was a lovely 10-minute stroll through the historic district ally-ways to the main Piazza Vitorria, with several restaurant options along the way.

But the main reason for the 5 stars is the welcome and hospitality of Raffaella and her family. On arrival we were invited to join Raffaella on the terrace, where she gave us some very welcome (and tasty) iced tea, melon and lots of useful information about the island, where to go and how to get around. She was available throughout our stay for information and advice, and gave us lots of help in getting our bags back to the port at the end of our stay.

The local bus system is regular, simple and very easy to use. We found it just as easy to just buy the tickets on the bus from the driver, rather than trying to get them in advance. There’s no real need to memorise timetables as they are all fairly frequent.

Tip 1: You probably will get slightly lost finding the B&B for the first time - just accept that and don;t panic! The directions are correct, but the historic district is such a maze that it’s impossible to describe the route clearly. One good thing - you probably won’t be as lost as you think you are - as most routes end up in the same place. The first trick is to get off at the correct stop - it is the third stop once you arrive in Anacapri (the first being Piazza Vittoria and the second is opposite a little bus station with bays for about 5 buses). Just ask one of the locals on the bus - we found everyone to be very friendly and willing to help. Immediately beyond the bus stop there is a little ally way. Try and follow the directions, but when you get confused I’d suggest opting for a left-hand and/or downhill option or ask someone for Via La Vigna. Eventually you will end up coming out of the pedestrian-only area into a narrow road - unless you’ve really messed up this will be Via La Vigna. Just turn right and keep following it for a while, past the little salumeria, then checking the numbers on the left hand side until you get to Number 45.

Tip 2: If you want to go into the Blue Grotto, we’d strongly advise arriving no later than 9am. We got there just after 9, got straight on a boat into the cave and, for the most part, it was just us and one other boat inside the grotto. By the time we were coming out 5 minutes later, all the tour boats had arrived from the port and there was a MASSIVE queue of the small boats that take you into the grotto and there were about 10-15 boats actually in the grotto at any one time - hardly a magical experience!

Very nice hosts that makes you feel welcome the whole time and not to mention one of the best places to see the sunset in Capri! Rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is simple but tastes wonderful. Will definitely come back in the future

Excellent B&B! Rooms are clean and comfortable, yet simple. The family is welcoming and very helpful. Rafaela helped us a lot in deciding what to do on the island. Breakfast is delicious, especially the eggs with vegetables fresh from the garden. The B&B is located just outside of the touristy areas of the island, which makes for a very relaxing atmosphere.

We would recommend this B&B to anyone looking for an affordable place with all the perks of an amazing family running the place, making you feel very welcome.

I have never completed a review on Tripadvisor before but felt that Villa Damecuta is exceptional.
The family were very kind and made extra efforts to ensure our short stay in Anacapri was perfect. The room was lovely and the breakfast on the lovely terrace with the great view was the perfect start to the day. Help was provided to ensure we could select the best that Capri could offer. The father kindly transported our bags on the final day to the bus terminal to save us precious time on our last morning. Raffaella was particularly kind and provided advice about the ferries and followed up with a caring email after we left for Procida.
I have no hesitation in recommending Villa Damecuta.
