We have just returned from a two week holiday at this fantastic hotel, without doubt the best we have ever stayed at. The Odyssey is family run led by siblings Catherine and Gerasimos. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they do everything possible to ensure you have a great holiday. There are 22 individually designed suites each with the same beautiful sea view. Agia Efimia is a gorgeous little fishing village, perfect for people wanting a quiet and relaxing holiday. The scenery is breathtaking and there are some lovely beaches to enjoy. Everything about the hotel is top class. The pool is brilliant with beautiful views across the bay to Sami. We liked it so much we have already booked to go back twice next year!

Room Tip: All rooms have the same view but by consulting with Catherine at reception you can choose your colou...

We didn't stay here on our three week holiday, but visited often, as the hotel's pool, spa and restaurant are open to all. We were treated like royalty, even as non-residents, and the rooms are to die for with spa baths and excellent, salubrious decor.

The food is good and reasonably priced, and Gianni at the spa, gave me one of the most relaxing massages imaginable. Prices at the spa are quite steep, and I wonder if it would be busier if the costs were lowered slightly.

Poolside is just magical, with excellent views and a bar service available at the raise of an arm!

Room Tip: All rooms have sea view.

We stayed at Odyssey Hotel for 4 days in June - the hotel is great, the staff are excellent and the rooms extremely comfortable and very clean. We loved the automatic curtains! The hotel is literally 4 minutes walk from the harbour where there is a choice of bars and restaurants. Alternatively you can eat in the hotel or have a glass of wine overlooking the beautiful bay. An excellent choice for a quiet and relaxed holiday.

The hotel management and staff make you so welcome from the minute you arrive, until you leave. Reluctant to share how good it is, as I want to make sure there is availability for us to go again next year. The hotel bedrooms are like nothing else I have ever stayed in in Greece, they are more like luxury suites, with a spa bath. No expense has been spared with fitting out this hotel, this is apparent from the minute you walk in to the beautifully furnished and decorated reception area. The Spa facilities are good and the staff very well qualified to provide relaxing massages, and other treatments. Would recommend half board as the chef cooks a 5 course healthy meal every night and uses seasonal vegetables and fruits from the hotels own garden, we really enjoyed the food. Dinner is served on the terrace with wonderful views overlooking the turquoise sea. In June it might be wise to take something warm to wear in the evenings as the first week we visited there was a cool wind, although the second week was very hot! Drinks are reasonable priced at the hotel e.g. a large beer is 3 Euros. They provide towels for the swimming pool area, if you want towels for the beach then take your own. The only improvement I think this hotel could make is to change one of the flat levels at the front of the hotel in to a natural shady terrace and provide seating to shelter from the sun, when it is very hot. You need to be fit as the hotel is up a fairly steep hill, but it is only about 100 metres and well worth the effort of the short climb! The beach just outside the hotel is not sandy, but it is fairly easy to get down the rocks and step into sea, you are soon out of your depth so it is great for adults to go swimming. There are a couple of small beach areas a few hundred metres from the hotel and it is worth hiring a car and going to Anti Samos, which has a great beach and the seafront cafes provide free sunbeds and sunshades and serve you drinks on the beach, again very reasonably priced. Driving on the Island felt very safe and everyone appeared to drive carefully, but it was early in the season so the roads were very quiet and there were lots of great places to explore. Catherine arranged the car hire, nothing is too much trouble for her or George to do, they kindly provided us with a kettle in our room when we requested it, at no extra charge. If you do not want to drive the hotel will arrange a taxi to collect you from the airport for around 50 to 60 Euros. The resort of Agia Efimia is nice and quiet, it has lots of restaurants along the harbour, so plenty to watch while you sit and have a drink. The restaurants here were much cheaper than the busier resorts. I would really recommend this hotel, book it, you will not be disappointed if you appreciate a bit of luxury.

Room Tip: All the rooms faced the sea and are very private - there are only two floors, if you have a favourit...

Back just over a week ago from the fabulous Hotel Odyssey in Agia Efimia, Kephalonia. Second time there and just as good as our first. I'll happily keep going back there. Weather was perfect, The family owned hotel was even more so. I can't praise Catherine and Gerasimus and staff enough they gave us a wonderful holiday in an idyllic setting.

Room Tip: They are all individually designed and themed. All have a panoramic view over Sami Bay and Ithaca...

We have just returned from a very relaxing week at the Odyssey Hotel. The staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was luxurious and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We have been thoroughly spoilt by Catherine and the team!

Room Tip: All rooms face the sea and are excellent.
