“Odyssey Hotel Kefalonia - again!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2012

My wife and I returned from this hotel just yesterday. Our review of our stay last year was effusive as regards the quality of this hotel and I did not think that they would be able to maintain the extremely high standards they had set. WE WERE COMPLETELY WRONG! Having spent a further 2 weeks at the hotel we can truthfully say that it remains one of the finest hotels we have ever staying in while holidaying in Greece. We are almost reluctant to recommend it so highly in case the hotel can't accommodate us next year, so, as a precaution, we booked again for next year on the day we left! If you are thinking of visiting Kephalonia you must consider staying at this hotel because in our opinion you will not find a better one anywhere on the island.

Room Tip: Every room is excellent, each one every bit as good as another.

We have just returned home from the most wonderful week away at the Odyssey Hotel. As other visitors have said, the room was spacious and luxurious with every mod-con you would need. The hotel staff were welcoming and cheerful and nothing was any trouble for them. We can't fault the attention we received from the hotel staff and would recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a grown-up break in the friendliest and most well-appointed surroundings in the village.

Room Tip: All rooms have sea views and I believe that they are all decorated differently - our room had a purp...

We visited Agia Efimia on a sailing holiday in late May and we ate dinner in the hotel restaurant. It was great 5 courses silver service for €12.00 each. Friendly staff and lovely food, a real treat and a change from the standard Greek Taverna fare. The pool looks great and the modern hotel also looked lovely but we were only dining so cannot comment on the rooms.

We spent seven nights in this beautiful hotel.
The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, high quality furnishings and fittings, huge wardrobe and bed which was very comfortable. The bathroom had marble fittings and even soft close toilet seats ! Clean white fluffy towels every day, lovely jacuzzi bath and shower. Large balcony overlooking sea with beautiful views.
Catherine and team went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
Just a few minutes walk from harbourside with plenty of good tavernas to choose from.
Hotel is situated perfectly for a good nights sleep and ideal for exploring all of the island.
Perfect for couples and families.

Room Tip: All rooms overlook the sea

This is one of the best value hotels in Greece. The owners are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We loved every minute of my stay and had a magical 2 weeks. The design of the place makes it quiet and relaxing, standards are high and all queries are dealt with so efficiently. i cannot find any negatives and if anyone can, then they ought to look again!

This is probably the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in. The rooms are lovely with the most amazing views. Breakfast is great. Beds really huge and comfy. We have booked again for this summer.

Agia Efimia itself is a beautiful place to stay. Plenty of restaurants overlooking the harbour and not too busy even in peak season. There isn't a huge beach -just little rocky coves. It's best to hire a car if you want to explore further.

What can I say... everyone kept warning us of the snobby ways of the Kefalonites...but all I can say is that they were so so so wrong! Katerina was a wonderful host (together with the lovely Raftopoulos family who run this lovely new hotel), and the hotel was amazing. We stayed early July 2011 and the found everything perfect that we can't wait to go back.

Generous sized & immaculately appointed rooms (lots of colour schemes to choose from to suit all tastes!), ever so comfy beds, oh so gorgeous views and lovely serene pool area. Agia Efimia is a perfect location if you want to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the southern end of Kefalonia. And well positioned to travel to Myrtos and Melissani lake. Being in the middle of the island allows you to explore with ease and the road system is very good.

We will definitely be back and next time with our children and extended family! Thank you for making our short break all the more special. We wish you all thebest of luck as Greece rides the economical roller coaster for the future :)
