When ever i book a holiday i always expect something not to be as perfect as it seems (i do have very high expectations), in the case of Paramithia Villa it was as amazing as it looked in the pictures, if not better. When we arrived we were met by George who was so friendly and helpful (thank you George), he showed us round the huge villa, to make sure we knew where everything was.
For an hour or so i just wandered around with a huge smile on my face as i took in the views and beautiful decor (until my wife insisted i help unpack the suitcases).
My family and i (8 of us) had a wonderful week enjoying the pools, tennis (although it was a bit hot for that), and many BBQ's.
One of the best bits for us with the villa was the view of it as you drive up the hill (particularly at night), it never failed to make us smile. The reaction of taxi drivers was hilarious, i think they may have thought we were millionaires :-)
You may want to consider hiring a car for trips to the local supermarket as its too far to walk back with all the supplies. That said, we used Taxi's all week and they are very good value for money and all of the drivers we had we so helpful and friendly. On days when we ventured out of the villa as a group, we were luckily enough to be introduced to a family run business who have a bus, well, not just a bus, a VIP Limo Bus (tinted windows, leather seats) If you want to arrive is absolute style then call Felesakis Alexandros (00306944833001), him and his son Alexis were brilliant, thanks guys.
This review could have been a lot longer, but just writing this is making me miss the place, If you are looking for a holiday villa that offers privacy, massive amount of space, excellent facilities then look no further its worth every penny.
Finally, thank you to Pete (the owner), its not his real name, but he was gracious enough to say that was fine as i would have probably failed miserably pronouncing his name.
You have created a fantastic place and you and your team are first class.
Beautiful villa with lots of outside space, the owner is great and will help you with anything. Lots of commodities, tennis court, pool, bbq and outstanding outside eating space. There are beautiful views from the villa with the lovely village of Kolympia five minutes away and lots of stunning beaches close by. The villa is gated for extra security which keeps the young ones safely in!
Just back from 2 weeks staying here and you need to be warned the villa is not as described!
It looks as good as the photos and is very impressive up on the hill but it lacks the amenities it promises. We had no hot water for the first 48 hours of our stay because the owners / agents had not checked it was working, and had not connected the thermostat, hoping there would be enough sun to heat the solar panels (there wasn't). Surely this is basic for any villa owner / agent.
There is only 1 bathroom for a maximum of 10 people. The ground floor has a toilet with a sink (not a bathroom) and has a bath in the utility at the back of the garage next to the washing machine! Even the agent had to admit he would never bathe in the garage. The 1st floor has a family bathroom with toilet, sink, and a bath, with a shower hose you have to hold above you. The master bedroom has a hot tub, again with a hose to hold above you. Definitely not 4 bathrooms as described and not what we call a shower, as that indicates a walk-in shower.
We had next to no internet for most of our stay. Repeated requests of the owner via the agent received various responses along the lines of 'You must have used your daily allowance of 2 GB and it will reset with another 2 GB at 4am'. If a villa promises internet it should be available all day for as much as is needed for the amount of people staying. I remember reading that the villa had an office to work from. There was no office there and with no internet how can anyone work nowadays?
The kitchen was poorly stocked. No basics such as wooden spoons for the non-stick pans, no peeler, no scissors, no can opener etc etc. The list goes on!
In short this villa is advertised as 5* and looks very impressive indeed, but practically it is not up to the job and is incorrectly described on websites to the point of being deliberately misleading.
