“Lovely foyer - small room”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

This was a last minute booking choice for us and we would say an expensive one. The hotel is an New England style - which is an odd theme for amusement park based around European countries, but the staff were friendly and helpful. The family room was small and dark inside - but it was clean and new and having spent the whole day in the park, was a great location to crash for the night. Breakfast was buffet style with a good range of food choices available. There were also characters from the theme park walking through and entertaining the guests. Parking great and close by. Restaurants rather pricey and food was average theme park fare - especially on the soft drinks/water - you are better off going to the local supermarket and buying drinks there.

Room Tip: We were on the top floor - 4.. - don't book this floor as the rooms are in the eaves.

I rent the Penthouse Suite and i stayed 2 nights , Every thing was perfect with a Good deal Price include Breakfast tickets and some purchases. Not Far from the park and on the way to the park you will find a supermarket to help you buy some if you wish. Nice decoration and modern. My aiming was to get the Two floor suite but I got the big size one. In breakfast time you can enjoy variety of food and having some fun with the Park Characters. The Room service was tasty too.

Notkeepingmum had followed the progress of this hotel, as an avid admirer of Europapark and the Family Mack.

So we booked one night at the Bell Rock to enjoy the Halloween festivities.

Pros:
Parking - much easier here than the Colosseo etc, as this hotel has a separate carpark within the hotel grounds, not a multilevel in the vicinity. So you avoid the search for a space, and the hustle of day visitors.
Check-in - you can arrive at reception for the park opening hours to receive your entry tickets, however you won't get room keys until the afternoon.
The theme is New England and the decor is amazing, it's a great quality hotel, and a lot of thought has gone into the layout, and presentation.
We stayed in a family room, there were the obligatory bunkbeds, however Notkeepingmum Junior was very excited to find that they were two rowing boats that provided endless imaginative possibilities.
As well as this the room had sliding partitions, bunk curtains and underbed lighting, ensuring peace and privacy for the bunk-dwellers, with safety lighting and easy evening bathroom access.
The adult section of the room then became closed off with a king sized bed and flat screen tv.
Separate bathroom and toilet also added to the comfort experience, along with adequate hanging space for outerwear and other clothing. And yes, Notkeepingmum was happy with the towel allocation once again.
Although minibars aren't provided at Europapark hotels we did find drinks dispensers, selling iced bottled sodas and water on the corridor adjacent.
Pool - semi indoor and outdoor heated pool, complimentary towels and robes (including junior sizes), immaculately clean, superb design and standard of fitting. Humorous touches - lockers were designed as shipping crates for example.
There is a spa and gym on site, but In a separate building, adjacent to the hotel. Notkeepingmum didn't visit, the emphasis was on thrill seeking, and not relaxation that weekend.
Buffet - breakfast choice was plentiful - continental, Swiss, German, American. It does get rather busy, and it was slightly bottlenecked at times. Not the hotels fault though, more the case of slightly greedy brand of customers who thought eating may go out of fashion?
Evening buffet - it gets busy, book ad soon as you arrive. it's very much worth the price per person. Amuse bouche and starters deliciously delicate. Asian, Indian and south African dishes, Mongolian buffet style hot plate, wide choice of bite size desserts (heavenly creme brûlée), sumptuous cheese board.
Conveniently they have placed the soft play area to the back of the restaurant, enabling children to play following their meal and adults to spend some time lingering over food and drink enjoyably.

Cons:
In the restaurant service is a little slow, drinks menu took some time to request, and drinks took some time to arrive. This was the same in the morning for hot coffee pots and clean cutlery. I have to admit however, the customers tended to act on all consuming greed, and it must be quite difficult to keep up with this level of selfish consumption. However as they say "Vive La Difference!"

There have been some complaints about the location - however it is approximately 5 minutes from the Colosseo and a gentle stroll down the river, over the bridge through the Colosseo and into the park. Time to walk off your more than ample serving of croissants for a day's thrill seeking.

We enjoyed tremendously, we were impressed, and we did return. However that review will save for another day.....

Room Tip: Ask for rowing boat beds to keep the children amused.

I got to stay here for one night. As I am an American myself, living in California and I have visited "New England" myself a few times, I felt they did a great job with the theme. The room I stayed in was large and had two sleeping areas. It also had two bathrooms, which was quit nice for someone staying with someone they don't know all that well. The food was great, and the ambiance was unbeatable. I would highly recommend this resort.

This was our third visit to Europa Park and this hotel was far and above the others we have stayed at. Brand new, nice design and well laid out. The restaurants were way above what we expected. Get the lobster and shrimp cocktail for a nice dinner. Great American food in Europe.

Europa Park is a really fun place and this hotel makes it all the better.

No Salt and pepper shakers on the table at dinner, but we swiped them from another one.

Room Tip: Get a suite.

Family 2 kids (7 and 8 years), we stayed 2 nights in this hotel (we did 3 days in the Park) - just great. We enjoyed the weekend. Easy checking, really nice and big room in the main building. Nice warm pool, with possibility to go outside (by the door, the access in the water is closed during cold period). For super we enjoyed the evening buffet, large choice, interesting food. Playland for the kids just in the dining room. Breakfast included, huge buffet also.

stay there for your birthday (we got champagne in the room .. very nice attention).

Be prepared to deal with a crowd, it's a popular hotel, great for kids.

Room Tip: ask for room with view on the water-light show. If you have kids ask for the room with "boat-be...

We have just returned from an overnight stay at this Europapark hotel and I'm happy to report that this newly built hotel exceeded all expectations.
As this hotel is attached to a theme park I had expected a certain level of tackiness, but was pleasantly surprised by the quirky, luxurious accommodation.
We stayed in one of the presidential suites (not as expensive as it sounds) which is a split level, loft style suite that ticked all the boxes necessary to earn its four star status, but with an added New England charm. The children loved all the quirky touches, a table made from an old suitcase, a rug made from old jeans labels, lifebelts hanging from the suspended staircase......
The one negative was that it was cold. The control for the air conditioning allowed fan level adjustment, but had no thermostat, so although it was possible to turn the air-con off, I couldn't turn the heating on.
I have mixed feelings about dinner in the à la carte restaurant, while the food itself was excellent, the atmosphere left me a bit cold. The buffet section is attached to the à la carte section, so the whole experience felt a bit mass produced. The prices warranted more intimate surroundings and so it's disappointing that the two separate areas (and budgets) were combined. Ok, I'm aware that sounds completely snobbish, but at an average of €30-35 for a main course, a little more ambiance was required.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend staying here, it's a little bit of luxury after a day of theme park madness.
