On a hot summer's day the terrace is beautiful with views across the valley to the Dollenberg Spa and hotel which own the hutte. Had lunch - excellent value and a really interesting menu of German specialities. One of my companions had one of the daily specials - Pike in a sort of light dumpling, and the other tried the braised beef cheeks. I tasted both and found the pike a bit fishy for my taste (not a big fish fan) - the beef cheeks were rich and tender. I opted for safety with local bratwurst! Lecker!
Service was excellent and friendly - it was a memorable meal and afterwards we walked it if by going down the valley and back to the Dollenberg. This is picture perfect Black Forest
