We stayed for 3 nights in the Hans Axel de Ferson junior suite. The room was nice and large and bathroom fantastic and very modern. I was a little concerned after making the reservation and then reading a review that said the rooms were not clean. I am very fusy and the room we were in was perfect - no dust to be seen and I am happy to say this was the same throughout the property. My only criticism of the room is that there were no tea and coffee facilities. The staff were wonderful and very obliging - nothing was too much trouble. The grounds are fantastic. We had the set menue meal which again was lovingly cooked by the owner and staff, it was very tasty and well presented not to mention reasonably priced as it also included wine. They serve a fantastic sparkling Vouvre. This hotel is also very well located to travel to the great sites of the area and certainly makes your stay even more memorable. Definately worth a stay!

Room Tip: This is a quiet locations so all rooms will be quiet. The room we selected was very large and brigh...

Thank's a lot, Mrs and Mr T. for your nice comment.
We are very happy that you liked your 3 nights' stay in the bedroom of the sweedish lover of Queen Marie Antoinette of France. Hans Axel de Fersen met Marquis de Lafayette at the royal court in Versailles. Although they were not close friends, one can suppose that Lafayette offered him the hospitality in his Chateau and of course, a very nice room was required for such an intimate relation of Her Majesty. And such a room was totally adequate for you!
Best Regards

Erick Charrier and the staff.

An idealic hotel in the Tours area, perfect for exploring the central Loire Valley and the nearby castles of Chenonceau, Ambois, etc. We stayed only one night, but would have gladly spent another if time would have permitted. Opulent, elegant decoration in a country style, this hotel offered an authentic Chateau experience with excellent dining as well as friendly & very helpful staff.

Chateau Reignac is grand and very beautiful but if you are expecting a 4 star experience this probably isn't the place to stay. We arrived to discover our 'interconnecting' room wasn't actually interconnecting, which was a bit of an issue as we have quite young children, we were offered a shared room as an alternative which wasn't as nice and would have meant bringing extra beds into the room for an extra cost..we declined and had to make a makeshift lock for a door which led to our 2 rooms. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated and the bed linen was great, there is a great sense of history here..and the building is majestic but dinner was a bit of a let down. My husband struggled with his vegetarian offering (a stuffed marrow!) and my quail was a little underwhelming.(47 euros was rather steep!) the service, however was superb and our waiter (receptionist/greeter/porter) was really lovely...
This place is lovely but extremely over priced for what it can offer, there aren't enough staff to fully meet guests needs and you feel a little bit lost rambling around this historic building without any framework of personnel, it's a shame really.
I would return but only if the prices matched those of the much superior Chambres D'hotes which we had stayed in on our holiday prior to arriving at the Chateau.

Thank you for your comment. First, I have to apologize. My description of your 2 rooms was inadequate, so there was a misunderstanding. And that's my fault.
Regarding the dinner, I am sorry we do not meet your expectations. I am very sorry that the stuffed quail with foie gras and morels was not your taste. I just want to precise that the menu (47€) includes:
glass of sparkling Vouvray Brut Tête de Cuvée
starter
main course
dessert
selection of Loire Valley wines
mineral water
coffee or tea
For your husband, who is vegetarian, we replace the main course by a provencal zucchini, stuffed with confit vegetables and Saint Maure goat cheese. Sorry he did not like.
About the staff, we have 8 pers. in the Château and no one told me that you had special needs.
Anyway, we would be very happy to welcome you again at Reignac (with a proper room....)
Best Regards
Erick Charrier

Chateau de Reignac is an absolute gem in the Loir and should not missed.
If you are newlyweds on your honeymoon, a 'still loving couple' or just some friends discovering the Loir, this place is putting a spell on anybody walking thru the door.
It certainly did with us on our recent stay there in preparation of our wedding.
Now, this is something I haven't mentioned above but - in case you are looking to get married - this jewel should be your choice.
Eric and Francoise are running this Chateau with so much passion and love, its great to sit with them and plan this big, important day.
The lovely garden invites to host a great outdoor wedding or cocktail, the cellar with its old stone walls create a very nice atmosphere in case you prefer to be inside.
The Chateau's own chapel is amazing and certainly a place you want to say 'I do'... - and with all that in mind, I cant wait to be back in September....

Room Tip: All the rooms are decorated with so much love and attention to detail telling the history of each of...

To Sabine and Gabriel (and all their guests), from Françoise, Thierry, Muriel, Erick and Alain.
Yesterday was your wedding day. And you left just a few hours ago. And we already miss you.
The helicopter arrival, the countryside decoration (without the goat...), flowers in Sabine's hair, the kindness of all your guests (Gabriel, your Mum is such a nice person!), gospell in the chapel.....
We really hope to see you again.
Very, very kind regards
Erick and Françoise, Thierry, Muriel, Alain

My wife and I (and our two girls) just spent a few days here. It was perfect in every way. The setting itself is beautiful ... a serene setting in a quiet small town, but also convenient to many chateaus. The staff was incredibly responsive, pleasant and helpful. The food was the best we had while in France ... whether the fresh fruit at breakfast, or the stuffed quail at dinner. It felt romantic for us while also being appropriate for our daughters (11 and 16).

I would quite comfortably give the Chateaux Reignac 5 stars but having stayed on three separate ocassions have only had dinner once -chiefly because we were the only guests . We use this Chataux as a stop off on travelling through Europe and its magical to have it all to yourself ! with your own key!! The restaraunts in the area are very good but thats not really what its about .Having read all the other reviews I can understnd Reignac being the very best for group parties and a fairy tale marriage venue , Just be prepared to go out for the evening meal midweek !

We got married at Le Chateau de Reignac in June 2012 and we could not have wished for a more perfect place to get married. The Chateau is set in a large park and has been wonderfully renovated by the owner, Erick, and all the rooms are individually decorated to the highest standard. Our guests, who came from all over the world, all said this was the most beautiful place they had been to for a wedding.

We knew from the first moment we walked into the Chateau that this was where we wanted to get married. The great thing for us was the space offered by the Chateau, and that it has its own chapel. The large park meant we could have a marquee where we had dinner; on the ground floor is also a very spacious guards chamber where we held the disco. This was ideal for us as we had over 120 guests to accommodate.

Erick and Francoise (who also works at the Chateau) are lovely and were a great help in preparing the day. Both speak excellent English and helped us plan the caterer, florist, music, sound, transport, the ceremony and accommodation. They really helped to take the stress out of the wedding planning. Erick also cooked (as part of the wedding package) a delicious buffet in the garden on the Friday night for our family to get together before the wedding.

We have so many special memories from our wedding day and we give a big thanks to Erick, Francoise and their staff for making it go without a hitch.

The Chateau is also a great place to stay if you want to visit the region. Loche is only 20 minutes from Reignac, and the famous Chateaux of the Loire region are in short driving distance. We can't wait to go back!

A dream wedding? Normal, you were a dream couple! We are very proud to have contributed to the success of your party. Rod, you are a lucky man, Nathalie was a gorgeous bride. We enjoyed, maybe as much as you did, these two days, because all your guests were really nice people.
We wish you much happiness and love.
Kindest Regards

Erick, Françoise and the whole staff.
