We stayed in Auberge de la Commanderie for one night on 3rd july. We were sorry that we hadn't booked 2 nights as lots to do and see in St. Emillion, but will return at some stage for short break. We stayed in room 24, which is for three people, and is in fact two seperate areas with bathroom and wc areas between. One area has double bed... other has single bed. Room small but spotlessly clean, perfectly equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast, euro10 extra, was very very good too. We crossed a pretty cobbled street from bedroom building to breakfast room. Hotel is situated right in centre of very beautiful town.. a pleasure to sroll around. Parking included in price too.

Located right in the heart of the medieval St. Emilion, our generous sized room and bath were updated, pleasantly furnished, very comfortable and quiet. Rates are reasonable and you may view each of the rooms online. Nearby are many restaurants, plenty of wine shops and beautiful vistas.

The staff could not have been nicer and the gentleman night clerk kindly waited late for us to arrive. We had gotten lost because our maps did not show St. Emilion and it was a dark and rainy night.

Everything about Auberge de la Commanderie was fine with the very minor exception of not providing free WiFi.

Received quick reply for hotel booking by e-mail compared to other hotels in St. Emilion. I stayed with a 1 year girl and a 5 year boy at this hotel and providing us with the confotable room for my family at the 2nd floor of separate lodge (5 meter distance from reception) - one double bed + 2 single beds. Even the center of town, parking space was privately available as safety & free charge - located 3 minuttes walk from the lodge.
Obtained the good service and a smile by the gentleman at the reception when check-in the lodge. He kindly supported us to carry the baggage and our baby car to the 2nd floor.

The Auberge de la Cammanderie was a perfect location in Saint Emilion. We had a beautiful room (#8) overlooking rows of beautiful grapevines that were turning their fall colors. The hotel was easy to find and provided free, secure parking close by. All the major attractions were within walking distance of the hotel; and there were several restaurants in the area as well. Saint Emilion was a good central location for several day trips to some of France’s most beautiful cities. The gorgeous windmills just a few kilometers away in the middle of the grape fields were the best we saw in France. If we are ever fortunate enough to be in the area again, we would not hesitate to return to the Auberge.

Stayed here for just one night and for a two star hotel, found it to be excellent. The position was great and our room had a very fine view over the rooftops of St Emilion. The room was not large, but it was extremely clean.

Breakfast was excellent, with gorgeous buttery, soft croissants and a good range of jams, fruit and baguettes.

Certainly a highly recommended property

Loved the free, private parking nearby...very useful. Loved that we could stroll the town and make purchases without worrying about hauling them around with us all day...we just dropped it off at our room and continued strolling. Breakfast not worth the money, but the room was quite adequate and the interiors are quite modern and fun. We had the most amazing view of the bell tower from our bed. Charming!
Every staff member we encountered was very helpful and friendly, as well.

Saint Emilion is just the beautiful place, and the auberge de la commanderie was a nice place to stay. it's in a really old building, but they have tried to make the interior bright and modern. the murals on the wardrobes and walls weren't entirely to my taste, but I appreciated what they were doing. the lobby/breakfast area was bright and cheerful and it looked like the breakfast being served was high quality.
the owner and employees were really friendly, and very helpful with leaving luggage in the morning while we did some shopping. parking is free (a few streets away) which was a great bonus. the location is superb.
