“Stunning cottage, sun, culture, wine and loads more..”
Reviewed April 10, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We were greeted by Andy at the airport making our journey super easy!
Rose cottage was perfect for us, a clearly lovingly cared for beautiful old stone and timber beam structure with modern interior features making it homely, well equipt with everything we could possibly need (and more!) We really appreciated the delicious 3 course meal prepared for us (and the wine, beer, cheese, bread, butter etc) which really added a special charm to the experience and made us feel very well catered for.
Arriving early in April the landscape was so stunning it was hard to take it all in! Vines just sprouting the first of their new shoots, flowers and blossoms as far as the eye can see, a truly beautiful location which made us feel refreshed and inspired. Some small local shops, bars and restaurants were in easy (and scenic) walking distance, the closest being Lussac and Puisseguin. We borrowed bikes to travel further afield venturing to St. Emilion, Montagne and Lac de Gurson which were all fantastic places to visit and the bike rides were exhilarating, navigating hilly windy country roads past vast amounts of vines, chateaux, orchards and forests.. We drunk wine, ate lots of cheese, adventured and basked in the sun.. What more could you want!
Andy & Richard were fantastic hosts, even taking us to the market with them to get tasty fresh fruit and veg for the week.

We would highly recommend this experience to anybody!

Lovely cottage - (very tastefully furnished) in beautiful surroundings.
Excellent starter pack on arrival with delicious three course meal in fridge, so neither went hungry nor shopping!
Well equipped kitchen with everything we needed to enjoy our stay - thanks Andy and Richard may see you again!

“A thoroughly enjoyable holiday at Rose Cottage”
Reviewed September 27, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Rose cottage was just as it was described and is situated in a very beautiful area close to Saint Emilion and convenient for exploring the area. The customer service that we received from Andy and Richard was excellent. From making the booking Andy kept in touch and provided a meal when we arrived and during the week we also received gifts of cakes, soup and grapes. Strongly recommend that you take up Andy's wine tour in which we visited three chateau and he provided us with a lot of historical information and each chateau was different so the whole day was very interesting. We will be recommending to family and friends.

“First Class Accommodation in First Class Location”
Reviewed September 19, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

This holiday accommodation is our best yet. Located in a relaxing rural area with superb facilities in Rose Cottage. Andy and Richard are excellent hosts, always ready to help out, and provided a wonderful meal on arrival, all home cooked , and pate to die. The pool area and gardens are great and we had every thing we needed in terms of pots, pans and enough "stuff" to last for our stay, even down to some lovely choccy buns left for us in fridge one day. We went on a really superb wine tour, which included a meal at a local cafe which was superb. We met some fantastic people and had a really good time all round , would return in a heartbeat , even managed to get nine bottles of wine back to Hull . First class, would wholeheartedly recommend this gite ..

“Fabulous place”
Reviewed July 23, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Mark & I stayed for a week in Rose Cottage and loved it. The weather turned gorgeous for us and we found our cottage delightful. The welcome from Andrew and all the goodies were amazing and I just loved the outside space. We did the wine tour with the excellent lunch and so enjoyed it all. Being a runner, I also went for a 5mile run through Listrac and Lussac alongside vineyard covered fields every morning.

I would definitely go back!

“Great place to stay in Bordeaux region.”

We were met by our English host Andy on arrival where he explained all about the local area, St. Emilion and Bordeaux and made suggestions as to where we should visit and which restaurants were the best in St. Emilion. The accommodation was perfect and had everything we needed with the bonus of a cooked meal on arrival, bottle of local wine, cheese, bread and Pate and other goodies all prepared by Richard. We had an added surprise of carrot cake the next day courtesy of Richard. The views of the surrounding vineyards from our accommodation were superb with all the autumn leaves and we enjoyed just walking in the area. St. Emilion and Bordeaux are well worth visiting. We would have liked to stay longer and will be definitely returning as there was so much more we would have liked to do in the area.

If you want a great, relaxing holiday experience then this isdefinately the place for you. Fabulously clean gite with everything you can possibly need for your stay with the added bonus of the welcome pack full of lovely goodies to tickle your taste buds. Fantastic pool for those lazy days in the sun. You will be greeted by very friendly owners who are very knowledgeable about the area and the best places to visit ( their wine tours are exceptional) Set in a lovely quiet hamlet not far from many tourist attractions, the local markets are a must. The night market at Saint Emillion during the summer months is a great family evening out with various stalls selling local produce and also live entertainment. Will definately visit again very soon.
