We spend just one night there but we wished to stayed for more!

People: super friendly and always trying to help
Facilities: the bathroom was clean at all times. The pool was really nice and the free activities (golf, kayak, tennis) are great. You have a little store at the reception and in the mornings you can buy croissants.

I totally recommend it.

Room Tip: Try to be not too close of the reception because of the noise (not to loud, but still...)

We have just returned from 4 nights in this campsite and wish we'd had longer! We will definitely go back as it was one of the best sites we've stayed in (and there have been many)! The staff are excellent, very friendly, helpful and efficient. The pool is nice, just a bit crowded. The facilities clean, just some soap dispensers in the sink areas would be nice! The activities were plentiful and enough to keep us all amused : tennis, boating, kayaking to name but a few. I heard from other campers that the restaurant wasn't good. We had takeaway pizza from there one night which was nice but other than that I can't say. Saint-Emilion itself is just wonderful. A beautiful place to visit whether you are a wine lover or not.

we are just home from a 10 day visit to the above campsite. we were 2 adults and 3 young children, age 4, 2 and 3 months. we booked into one of the Melchoir cottages/mobile homes. it was of a very high standard with 3 bedrooms, a nice size kitchen/dining area and a rather large decking which was great. bathroom was split in 2 with a large sink/shower room but had the tiniest toilets I have ever been in. We found it spotless and as said very good quality. campsite is on the small size, actually the smallest we have ever stayed in but it actually suited with the ages of our kids. everything was close by. the main negative comment we saw before travelling was that of the restaurant and I suppose it was warranted. the service is snail slow and very understaffed so the staff were not to blame. food is pizza or steak with not much else on offer so eating out or cooking is best option. shop/reception area is like something out of faulty towers with a very small offering in the shop but also doubling as the reception area! this however was always over looked as the staff were so nice, polite and very good at their job. just don't depend on the shop as its only for very basic things which like milk they were out of most days. the Carrefour shopping centre is only 8kms away. kids club is very, very basic and with what looked like no real direction or structure to it what so ever. the girls over it seemed lovely but we would not leave our kids there now or even in the future as it involved face painting and bouncing castles and not much else. kids disco at night started off with a kids song which we thought great then into nightclub music which was very inappropriate as some of the lirics were offensive and not great for the 3,4,5,6 year olds dancing there. swimming pools are small but never seemed too busy so no problem getting a bed not that we were able to lie in the sun! kids pool funnily over looked the deepest part of the next pool with no railings which is an accident waiting to happen. in the deep pool was the slide you see on their website. a good climb up on wet metal stairs then slide down. word of warning their is no life guard anywhere in the pool or at the slide, only staff member there is a guy that walks around every few hours asking men to leave the pool until they get speedos!! would be better served at the top of the slide keeping an eye on things. lake area is lovely and we spent many an hr on the peddalos. scenery was lovely there also but again be warned there is no life guard or anybody monitoring this area which again is so strange as there are areas you can go behind and not be seen. playground again is very small and basic but our kids enjoyed being there. mini golf is 6 holes and is again of poor quality but kids enjoyed it. campsite its self is small but very clean and in a lovely setting surrounded by vineyards. shower/toilet blocks are spotless and a lovely kids shower/bath area also. all the points above are the way the campsite is but there is a lovely atmosphere throughout the campsite and the staff are so, so nice and helped out whenever we had an issues with no hassle what so ever. as long as you keep an eye on your kids the above issues will not affect you but it is an area that could do with looking into. we had a lovely relaxing trip here and we would recommend yellow to our friends. we might not come back to this site but their staff and accommodation is of a very high standard and we would happily book with them again somewhere else. very close to St Emilion here also which is great also. I hope we don't come across too negative as we did enjoy ourselves.

We stayed her in July 2013 and out of all the sites this was my favourite. Small and with a more intimate feel. Wouldn't suggest eating here as service is slow and food wasn't the best so we were told. We didn't manage to eat here as we waited at a dirty table for 30minutes and didn't even get seen but had a take-out pizza which was good.
The pitch we had 107a was good but small for our large caravan and awning. There are larger pitches as be sure to request.
Lovely easy ride to St-Emillion which is a must with beautiful cobbled streets (lock up bikes outside village and walk in) lots of great wine shops very eager to sell to you. Not cheap wine but thats the point!
Pool was never too busy and always able to get loungers.
Could easily be made into a boutique campsite with a little money spent on it but the charm is there.
Not best for long stays with children as entertainment is minimal.

Room Tip: ask for large pitches.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights at the end of June. We had a very large pitch for our tent in a quiet corner of the campsite. The staff were very friendly and helpful and most spoke excellent English. The facilities were very clean and tidy. There were plenty of bikes to hire and we spent a couple of days cycling around the vineyeards and chateaus of St Emilion and the surrounding area. The campsite was fairly quiet, no screaming kids or loud adults as suggestered on previous reviews. Maybe this was because it wasn't yet the school holidays. We would definatley stay here again.

We love this area and definitely go to the "maison de vin" for your wine in town.
We stayed at this camp site for two nights in June. There were 3 heated pools and a water slide. Our kiddies loved it. they had the baby pool to themselves with a small slide.
The staff were excellent and very friendly. What we loved most was the hot showers and extremely clean facilities.
There is lots to do here for kiddies with pedal boats on the lake etc. Very nice campers here too. We had washed clothes and it started to rain when we were not in the camp and the neighbours brought our stuff in for us. lovely.
We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: They had lovely chalets here too that were worth having a look at.

We stayed here for two nights in early June and compared to some hotels we had stayed in I was apprehensive as this place was so much cheaper! We booked a one bedroom lodge, which was a perfect for us as a couple travelling. The lodge had a fully equipped kitchen, double bedroom, shower room and seperate toilet. It had T.V with several channels, and a lovely outdoor veranda with patio furniture to relax outside on. The campsite had two pools, one for kids and one adults, fully stocked shop and nice restaurant and bar. Each morning we had our breakfast left waiting for us on the veranda included in the price which consisted of fresh crossaints, French bread, butter, milk, coffee, tea and jam. Just perfect! The place would be great for kids, lovely lake that you can hire paddle boats, play area, tennis courts, picnic areas & crazy golf. We also rented out some bikes available at the campsite and cycled through the vine yards into Saint Emilion. The staff at this campsite were really great, most had good English and were more than happy to help. In previous reviews it was mentioned about noise etc in the campsite, it was explained to us very clearly that traffic is banned from 10:30pm to 7am through the campsite and if you come back after 10:30pm you have to park your vehicle in the car park at the entrance and not beside your lodge. We didn't experience anyone making any disturbances during our stay and found that most people were respecting the rules. I would recommend this place to anybody and would love to be back myself very soon.
