Authentic punjabi vegetarian food. Great taste and atmosphere. Affordable and above all excellent washroom facilities. Must visit when in Jalandhar or passing by.

“Amazing Treat”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

We came across “HAVELI” on 24th June 2012 when our family was travelling from Amritsar to Ludhiana. While crossing Jalandhar city on highway, I saw a beautiful place full of life. I asked our driver who was also our guide for the trip, to stop. He introduced us to this place as “HAVELI,” one of the most beautiful places set along the Highways. No sooner did we stepped out, I realised that it was a restaurant. It was a very hot day and as we entered the premises we took a sigh of relief. They placed large fans spraying water simultaneously with air which were really fascinating, which worked as air conditioners outdoor. There was a big lawn where fast food counters were placed. The food available was really delicious. There was a full-fledged restaurant inside. The bathroom was superb, both in terms of beauty and cleanliness. We hadn’t had lunch and it was nearly an hour or two before twilight, so we decided to have some fast food. The self service-service food counters were neatly set, with different sections made for beverages and different ones according to the Menu. A counter was set for water, which was served free. There were good seating arrangements in the lawn to facilitate the fast food guests. To add to the ambience the lawn was decorated with lots of artificials such as water well along with two statues on the threshold of the last row of tables. This enchanting trip was quite mesmerizing. One can spend a lot of time at the restaurant. The restaurant is worth visiting. The review is written by my son Rohit Ajitsariya.

“amazing food”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

The place never disappoints you and offers you the best north Indian food. Its a must visit for all those who love North Indian food or would like to try it. Its value for money for sure. Its the much awaited place to dine in whenever we are in this part of the country. Must stop and Must eat. A big relief for highway travelers who want to eat good food and relax for sometime before continuing their journey. Must try - Yellow dal tadka, pindi channa, paneer makhni, paranthas, lassi, tawa roti and the achaars and chillies on the table.

“Overrated”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

The place looks like a good stop-over from the outside but dosent offer anything good. Food at the Punjabi restraunt is below average. The snacks counter on the outside isnt good either. The chuski tatsted like cough syrup! Dhabas on the highway are much better than this imposing structure.

“Authentic experience”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

Brilliant ambience, food is lovely. I am not too sure, but there is lack of element that doesn't set the scene for wow. But full credit to the door person, doesn't really matter how many times you past that door he will without any sense of repeating says - 'Sat shri akal ji', great!
