For 33$, we got:
- 2 shredded beef burritos: tender high quality but bland shredded beef; one was very skimpy on the meat and served dry on the tortilla (!) and one ordered with mole sauce (excellent!). Although both menu items said they came with cheese, neither one had any. Good quality but incomplete recipes.
- 1 bean and cheese burrito: beans were a bit hard but seasoned nicely and there was barely any cheese.
- 1 chorizo burrito with ancho chili sauce: ground beef was good but the seasoning tasted like an ortega packet; sauce was as it should be but nothing spectacular.
- 1 side of "mexican" rice: probably less than a half cup, yellow only with nothing else in it; super bland.
- 1 guacamole dip: avocado was definitely fresh and soft but it was only mixed with onions and apparently nothing else; came with 8 little nacho chips stuck in it and amount was maybe a half cup for 8.25. :(

I'm glad the ingredients were fresh, but come on guys, really? Tiny portions and incomplete recipes made this a bad value. This was our second underwhelming experience there.

This Mexican restraint is a bit out of the way - in the basement of an old converted school with an entrance in the rear of the building but finding it is well work the effort. we find that all the food is home made and cooked to order with a complete variety of Mexican foods available on the menu both ale cart and complete combinations! we are consistently please with the quality and the reasonable prices! service is good and there is a fully stocked bar. atmosphere is basic but the quality of the food makes all the difference! great for couples, family's and friends and no we are not related or associated to any one associated with the restraint but just consistently happy customers!

I was in Webster with my family for a hockey tournament and we decided to try Maria's because we wanted Mexican. First of all, if you go there, the address is in main st. but the restaurant is behind the building so you have to go in the driveway to the right and go around back. The decor is cute but very old and in the basement so it seems kind of dark & dreary. 3 out if 4 meals were ok, not great. I ordered a chicken burrito and was surprised that for an authentic Mexican restaurant, the burrito was just some shredded chicken in a burrito. Nothing else. I had to put the hot sauce that was on the table on it just so it had some flavor. I also ordered one of their "famous" magaritas and although it tasted good, it was very small. Our bill came to $63 for the 4 of us. My husband also had a beer so for what we got to eat and just 2 alcoholic drinks, I thought it was kind of expensive. We have been to several authentic mex restaurants before and this one really didn't compare.

Been to this resturant a couple times. first time service was lighting fast.... almost too fast.
Went last night and felt like we were ignored all night... food was still good. just short staffed. would still recommend. margarita special was great (Pomagrante) but VERY strong!

Revisited Maria's. Best nachos I've ever had. We then ordered combo platters. I would say those are the best value. It was a lot of delicious food.
