“Good location but expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2013

This is a typical Airport hotel, not far than 5 minutes by transfer, it's silent and clean, but not luxurious as the price suggests. One night there cost me over 4500 VEF which means roughly 715 USD on official exchange rate.
They offer transfer from airport to the hotel but sometimes takes over a half hour awaiting on departure level which scary you when you need to have it into the night - who of you which have been already on this airport know what I means with it.
The hotel have 2 towers and the driver will request your surname to verify in which tower you're allocated,,, Don't rely on him.. several times he took me to wrong tower and after a hour awaiting for the check in the front desk told me I was on the wrong tower, forcing me to walk to the next tower and proceed again with the check in process. It's not far but after 1 hour standing up for check in you start to lose your patience.
Their restaurant have a good food, so you will not regret to use it.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms on tower A.

Why to come here? May be because your next fight is early in the morning from Maiquetia airport, otherwise I don't see any other reason to stay in this place. Around the hotel only barrios, so stay inside and ask for a sure car to bring you to the airport. As it looks like a hotel for couples may be it could be a good idea to spend something more for the room, even if they will tell you they have only business lux rooms even if the hotel is empty. The rooms are clean and comfortable but this is all

I like this hotel, and its people. Hard to chose another if you don't want to be far from the airport and have to fly very early in the morning.
The restaurant is not so good. The seafood risotto was very very salty which makes me think it was to cover up the seafood that was not fresh and very hard.
There is a nice pool with a fountain and the breakfast is great.

We stayed for a night at the location closest to the airport. My only critique is that the internet was unreliable. The bed was comfortable (and enormous), the shower hot, and the restaurant offered good food. The hotel shuttle bus is located right outside the terminal, and our return to the airport in the morning was easy to maneuver. This is a good choice for an airport overnight.

We had to stay near the airport as we were transitting for the night but with the exchange rate this became an expensive exercise. The free shuttle bus was meant to run every 20 minutes but took considerably longer both in the afternoon and the next morning. The service at the desk was so slow we wondered if we would be checking in and checking out at the same time! The room itself was extremely comfortable with a very good bed. The bathroom and shower were also good however the airconditioner could not be adjusted and so it was either freezing or we had to switch it off. The food in the restaurant was just OK. There is a very nice pool area and free wi-fi.

Room Tip: The rooms themselves are very well appointed and hopefully the airconditioner works OK

I was hard to find a free shuttle bus that runs about every 20 minutes. The room was pretty wide, but because it was the room facing the atrium, it was noisy. The restaurant located next to the hotel (Mr. grill) was not delicious and higher. It is possible to eat from 3:00 morning breakfast, it was convenient.

I had to stay here for a day and had informed them that I was arriving around 5am, which meant a very early check-in. In many cases, this would probably have meant booking the room the night before as well but the reservations person said it would be no problem at all.

Arriving, as I did, at 5.30am, I was told that I could not check in as 'early check-in' doesn't start until 9am. The guy at check-in was also as rude as he was slow. Before I got served by him he was on the phone for a good five minutes without as much as acknowledging my arrival.

Left and right around me, airline crew checked in, including the United Airlines crew I'd arrived at Caracas with. They were allowed to check in because they'd had the room reserved the night before. I asked why I hadn't been told this and this guy basically shook his head and feigned his inability to continue to speak English.

An hour later his colleague was slightly more helpful in the fact that she would at least talk to me and explain hotel policies. Unfortunately, I didn't know and could not prove who had told me I didn't need to book a room for the night before. Though as she kept telling me that no rooms were available, about seven guests checked out.

Half an hour later they'd found a room and with a lot more to-do, head-shaking and some choice words in Spanish that I don't understand and don't really care about either way; I was shown into my room.

To be honest, even if the room had been made of gold, it would have done little to take away the bitter taste in my mouth. I am pretty sure this hotel, including some of its staff, have forgotten what their core business is.

Another point I'd like to mention is not to order room service. Aside from the quality of food being as shocking as the service overall, they make you pay in the room and use a dollar rate that would make the Sultan of Brunei go light headed.

Yes, it is close to the airport.
