“Piranhas and Giant Otters”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

Nothing beats relaxing on a catamaran in the Amazon! Our group left at the crack of dawn so we enjoyed a nice sunrise. We saw a variety of birds, went piranha fishing and saw endangered giant river otters. I'm not a morning person but this was worth the early wake up call :)...Sunblock and bug spray are a must.

“Giant River Otters!”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

Had a wonderful day on the lake with Chemo our guide from Inotawa Lodge. Saw a Howler Monkey dozing in a tree and loads of different butterflies and birds including woodpeckers and "asthma birds" but the highlight of the day was definitely the Giant River Otters that we managed to spot. They came so close to the boat it was awesome and we got some really good pictures.

We were lucky to see a family of great otters swimming and playing. Had a go at piraña fishing, which were surprisingly small and lots and lots of beautiful birds

“Otters Fishing”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

We boarded a catamaran and were pushed along like a punt in the early morning. And right on cue the otters appeared diving and fishing for fish. There were so many. One person in our group thought they had put fish in the water to attract them. :) We had to stay very quiet in order to not upset the females because it can affect there breeding if you stress them out. It was fantastic to see so many. We also fished for pirhana. Wonderful experience.
