“Way over priced and over rated”
Reviewed August 11, 2012

I arrived on the afternoon of Sunday, August 5th 2012 for a 2 week job at the local Enap refinery (still here while writing this). While waiting for my room I decided to have lunch at the bar. I had a chicken sandwich and 2 beers, the tab was $35, the beers were over $11 each, highest price I've ever paid for beer.

The room is cramped but has a nice view of the ocean. It's chilly here this time of year but the heat is turned off. There was no hot water the first morning and the internet was out most of the evening. Parking is a problem so you either get blocked in or can't park. Breakfast is supposed to be at 6:30 but the last two days there was still no coffee or hot food at 7:30, the time I leave for work.

The laundry prices are crazy, $8 to wash a shirt, $5 for an undershirt, $4 for a pair of socks. The toilets were plugged up in the guest bathrooms yesterday but people continued to use them so you can imagine what that was like. I used the hotel's recommended rental car agency, the guy with the car was a couple hours late and brought me a beat up, bare bones Kia Rio with an absolutely empty gas tank, for only $400 a week.

Chile is a nice place and the people are great but this hotel needs a wake up call.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the ocean for those who like to hear the waves crashing. It does get loud.

We could only stay for one night, and regrettably so. The windows opened right out to the Pacific Ocean, providing for a breezy fresh night's sleep (felt like I was sleeping outside under the stars). The bar was a great time, and the staff entertaining. I was surprised to read some of the miserable reviews, but I can see that some people expect more or different from what they should. Who wants to watch TV when you can stroll the lovely beach or have wine at sunset with your companion? Definitely, people who arent all business should consider this lovely hotel. I also dont mind re-using bath towels for a couple of showers. Come on people, it's the 21st century. Conserve, conserve, take care of what's left!!

Incredible view of all hotel rooms. Enjoy the pure air of the ocean all day long. Good breakfast and the staff is very kind and respectful. Food is also great. The location needs a car to go to the cities Vina del Mar and Valparaiso. 2 pools and a nice bar on terrace, awesome view. The restaurant and night bar are also nice. The spa pool is free to use but you need to buy a 6 dollar bath hat.Would be back always.

The staff at the Radisson Acqua in Concon were fabulous. They were incredibly attentive and were quick to assist me when I could not get wifi in my room.

The views of the Pacific Ocean are wonderful.

This hotel has a picture-book location, perched just above the rocks only 20 feet from the water’s edge, but don’t let this great, romantic location fool you; this hotel has some problems. The restaurant serves great food, especially dinner; the spa facilities are nice, but this hotel will charge you to use their sauna and steam room!! No one wants to pay a five-star price and then get nickeled and dimed for other services that other high-end hotels include in the cost. The ONLY part of this spa that is “free” is the tiny, little pool!

Oh, and this staff does only the bare minimum. The housekeeping service won’t always replace towels or pick up the room—they make up the bed and clean the bathroom. The main desk personnel do not always communicate very well and there are times when you feel like no one is in charge! In fact, if you call the main desk before the sun comes up, let’s say 7 a.m. for example they won’t pick up the phone, but you get a busy signal; this happened to me four or five times! They just don’t answer their phone!! If you try and schedule a local winery tour the front desk clerks will call the company that offers them the best commission, but they will NOT ensure that you have an English-speaking driver! I was left with a driver who spoke only Spanish, driving me to unknown winery locations and then learned that the inflated wine tour price was ONLY for the driver and NOT for the winery tours and wine-tasting! I was upset and felt stupid for not checking and asking more questions.

If you are fluent in Spanish you may have NO problems at this hotel, but don’t assume anything! Make sure they explain and spell out what they are doing and what you are paying for when you request a service or attempt to schedule a local excursion! I know that probably sounds like a no-brainer, but I am still learning when to ask more questions, especially with those who speak little English! I have also learned that the title “Consierge” can mean many different things. At the Hyatt in Mendoza and the Radisson in Montevideo this person had their own desk and computer, but at THIS Radisson it was a guy who also opened the door and pulled luggage so he was not a specialist but more a “jack of all trades.” Again, I could have done more to ensure a smooth transition on the excursion, but this staff did very little to help ensure that I would have a wonderful three-day hotel visit.

Finally, if you want a nice room with a view for one night then this may be just the hotel for you, but if you want a full-service hotel and plan to use the facilities and schedule a local excursion or two, you may want to reconsider and stay at the Sheraton in Valparaiso, just ten minutes away. This staff is more like mercenaries than people pleased to serve. Bottom line….come for dinner, but stay somewhere else!

Room Tip: Speak Espanol and don't ask the front desk for anything! A good room? Hmmm...not sure that you...

This place is like no other hotel I have ever stayed at. The waves were breaking on the rocks directly below our window. The pool and spa facilities are remarkable and very popular with locals. We spent a week there and enjoyed it a lot.

Don't eat at the restaurant if you can avoid it. Breakfast is OK, but otherwise the food is lousy and grossly overpriced. Try the Santabrasa restaurant a short walk from the hotel. Their food is among the best we have had anywhere.

Parking at the Radisson is not a problem, just leave your car out font and don't bother with the underground parking area. The staff are very well meaning, but I suspect they work under rather poor management. None the less, I have no hesitation in recommending the Radisson Acqua and will certainly return myself if the opportunity arises.

we only stayed one night in ConCon at the Radisson, though we stayed further nights in Santiago at the Radisson.
The Con Con radisson is strange and quite dark, though very nice. the service is really quite poor, even by Chileann standards. DO NOT PARK ON -1 LEVEL........ parking was a major pain......a major pain. to get to the -1 car park took great driving skill. we have a mid sized 4x4 and it was very dificult (we also haev a long wheel based Jeep, that would have been impossible to park).]
The business rooms are great (why a window into the bathroom !!) and the fact that the rooms are LITERALLY on top of the sea is also great. We slept all night with the window open and were lulled to slep by the lapping waves.
Breakfast was CRAP, Service was CRAP, soup was cold (refused to pay), coffee was CRAP, Parking was CRAP, would i go back..............YES. the hotel is quirky and the bed VERY comfy.......

Room Tip: take a SMALL car.
