My friend and I went here for our first restaurant in Morro. Chez Max is located on 3rd Beach and as with most places on 3rd beach, it has a great view of the water. We went at an odd time, around 2:30pm, so it was not busy at all. Our waiter was a friendly and cute Italian guy who was quick to acknowledge us, get our drinks, and take our orders. We were starving so this was much appreciated.
I had the filet mignon (cooked medium) with a side of roasted veggies and potatoes and my friend had chicken with rice. My steak was cooked just how I like it, the veggies were delicious. My friend said the chicken was mediocre and parts of the chicken were uncooked (a very small part - he didn't bother complaining as he noticed it at the very end of the meal).
Overall a good mid-day dining experience. I had no problems with the food, but if you ask my buddy he might say something different! Service was excellent though keep in mind we were some of the only clients there.
