I was traveling to Ushuaia by car from Sao Paulo, brasil and I stay in this hotel. It was a little difficult to find. The staff was very helpful and it recommended several places to eat, The city is secure and it was not problem to leave the car in front of the hotel because it is does not have a parking lot. The price of the hotel is not cheap but in Patagonia a nice hotel is not cheap. Remember you are in the end of the world. Nevertheless, the price was worth because it has a nice and warm swimming pool that allow me to take a rest after driving more than 4000 kilometers.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this hotel, being in the smallish town of Rio Grande, but I was very pleasantly surprised. It's a modern hotel, very spacious and attractive, with friendly, helpful staff. I think it might be the nicest hotel in town. The only downside is that it's not conveniently located near anything, necessitating a long walk or a cab ride if you want to get downtown. I understand the comments about the intermittent internet; I also experienced that. But you have to consider that this is in the far reaches of Argentina, on Tierra del Fuego, not exactly a backwater, but definitely not a modern metropolis. Take it with a grain of patience. I'd definitely stay here again if I find myself in Rio Grande again--a not very likely scenario.

Had to wait a while for rooms to be made ready, but we had arrived before usual check in time so no real issue there. The lobby area is spacious and comfortable. My room was comfortable with an adequately stocked mini bar. A bit warm so I opened the window a bit and it was fine. I didn't use the pool, but it looked very nice but not very large. There is a spa for choice of massages, aroma therapy etc.

Breakfast was pretty basic. Ham, cheese, cake etc. I did not have lunch or dinner in the restaurant so I cannot comment on the menu.

Staff at the front desk were very friendly. Obviously not too comfortable (maybe out of practice) speaking English, but did well to give directions into town.

Looking forward to staying here another night in October. I will sample the wine list.

Avoid this hotel if you can in any possible way. I traveled to Rio Grande for business reason and all the hotels were booked , then even the bad reputation of this hotel I reserved there. I arrived and my reservation was received by the hotel but they forgot to update the system. Furthermore no room available. I had to wait two hours until they got another room. The internert id didn't work in the three days I was there, and the staff doeas nothing to solve this or any other problem. The room is ok , but the waste deposit is located just besides the guest rooms , see photo attached.
And finally the price of this marvelous room is above 250 USD per night.
Avoid this hotel if you can.
