Description: Notably the last restaurant on Coastal Highway in Fenwick Island, Delaware before entering Ocean City, Maryland, Delaware may have saved the best for last. The award winning Fenwick Crabhouse has been an icon in the resort for almost 50 years. Though being named a "favorite seafood dive in the US" for an unprecedented fourth straight year by Coastal Living Magazine, the Fenwick Crabhouse is hardly a dive. While the atmosphere is casual, they have an appealing menu of carefully prepared meals catering to a variety of tastes. You will find great wines, craft beers, their hallmark "The Perfect Crab cake" (NY Times), Delaware Magazine's 2011 "Best Ribs," and of course, those wonderful steamed crabs. Their mission is to provide a unique blend of creatively prepared dishes using fresh, locally grown foods and award-winning beverages to the table. The Fenwick Crabhouse is a seasonal restaurant off-season hours change before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. Call for hours.

“So many choices and so many truly good dishes”
Reviewed July 31, 2013 via mobile

I've been here before and have yet to be disappointed. My husband had the Ultimate Combo with ribs, crab cake & fried chicken. He loved it! Friend enjoyed the crab imperial and I had the crabcake sandwich. The food was perfect and the kids menu has a lot of variety. Ask for remoulade sauce, as they serve the crabcakes with tartar (inappropriate IMO). They have a lovely remoulade with a subtle kick at the end.

“Love this place for crabs”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Great atmosphere. Somewhat high prices, but you get what you pay for, and the restaurant is clean with generous portions. The blackened scallops are to die for, crab soup is wonderful and the few times we have gotten crabs they were great, as well. Highly recommend you go early with a big group, as they don't take reservations because they don't know how long people will be there eating crabs. Have not been disappointed by anything we have gotten on the menu. Lots of fried foods, so if you are looking for more broiled items stick with fish specials. Bar area is clean, always crowded.

“Great Family Restaurant”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

Friendly, smiling service, awesome appetizers such as the blackened scallops, or jumbo steamed shrimp. Crab cakes are fresh and full of lump meat. The NY strip was tasty too. Had a lot of nice fancy drinks to offer but we settled for one of the craft beers on tap. Will certainly return.

“Awesomely yummy!”

We had a great meal that pleased the whole family. Crab cakes, fried chicken, ribs, shrimp. Service great. Only complaints...loud, cold, big Coke sign, only Pepsi products.

“Smooshy gray crabs at the beach!”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

I cannot rate any other food item as I was pumped to compare crabs in northern OC and that I did. The pile of twice steamed crabs, who knew how long ago they were first cooked, gave off a slight rotten odor. When I opened them the sweet yellow mustard and clumps of firm crab were nowhere to be found. Instead the meat was gray and squishy. I went through a few hoping to find one fresh but to no avail. I commented to the inept waitress who confirmed my twice steamed suspicion. I paid too much and left wanting to wipe the rotting corpse taste from my tongue with a Lysol wipe. Try anything but DON'T go for the crabs.
