Small fun place - owned and operated by local family! Huge portions - always fresh!
Very busy - so you need a little patience!
But you can't get better value and seafood anywhere on Aruba! A must for any trip to Aruba

2nd year in a row- best seafood for your money! My 9 year old daughter really likes the Aruba Fish Soup. They do a great job with the grouper dishes. Always fresh and delicious!

Always have to wait when you have late evening reservations. Although the food is good, disappointed in the wait, loudness and close proximity to other diners. They need to manage reservations better. We have dined here many times and were slightly disappointed this year. Thought the food tasted different, although believe the owner is the chef. Maybe we will try on another visit but enjoy the atmosphere at other small restaurants better.

We ate here twice on the 10 day trip. Fresh catch $25 a plate with large portions.
Could have upgraded to add lobster but being that are "over caught" in the area and not really local anymore unfortunately.... problem all over the Caribbean
Small intimate setting. Funny, it's a 10 min walk from high rise in a little strip center located conveniently next to an adult pleasures shop. Merchandising not so important in Aruba... non the less it was a great meal and we were really happy each visit.
Hard to get reservation because it is so small so probably a good idea to make this in advance.

Wacky Wahoo used to be my favorite seafood restaurant in Aruba, so I have held off writing this review, which is now based on five visits - two in Feb 2012, two in Sept 2012 and recently one in feb 2013.
Wacky Wahoo is located in a not too appealing mini strip mall with a porn shop next door. The restaurant is small, over crowded with tables and very noises, but, it used to boast the finest, freshest seafood in Aruba. They catch their own fish and serve only what they caught that day.
Over the last five visits there I have been served undercooked fish, lobster and shrimp three times and overlooked lobster and burned fish once each. The food has also developed a very distinct salty, excessively spices taste to it.
This last visit I had Bob's shrimp casserole, the shrimp were quite undercooked and the sauce was so spicy I could not eat it and the fettuccine it covered - I love spicy food and normally add hot sauce to dishes. This was outright horrible. When I mentioned it to the owner, he replied it says it is spicy on the menu - well the menu says "tasty tomatoe creole sauce" how does that infer spicy?
Service was poor and erratic, we receive one glass of water which was never refilled, and other than when the food came we never saw our waiter.
What used to be a noisy cramped restaurant is now a noisy overcrowded (it appears that a few more tables were squeezed in) with a chaotic service and atmosphere - I really detest people who are waiting for a table hovering over me while I eat my dinner.
I definitely feel that there has been a change in the kitchen, for the worst - either a new chef or new cooks??
The only reason the rating was poor instead of terrible was the ceviche was as fantastic as ever.
It will be a long time before I return.
