I stayed at this hotel for four nights with my spouse who was in Kuwait for a meeting. The room is spacious and spotless with a bed, desk, chair and small couch. The tv had so many American speaking channels that I thought I was back in the states. The bathroom is huge with two shower heads and a bath tub on the other side of the bathroom.. A basket of fruit and small pastries inside the room welcomed us on our arrival. There are no vending machines and if you want ice, you have to call room service. No alcohol is served in Kuwait, so don't expect to find any. There are three pools on the property and they were great when it was 110 degrees outside. Across from the hotel is a shopping mall with many American favorites like Starbucks, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, Hallmark, Foot Locker, TGIF. Room service was just ok. The breakfast restaurant had a wonderful omelette station. The lunch restaurant had a huge spread at its buffett. Maid service came by 10am every day. My room had a balcony facing the ocean and was a great view for the 4:30am summer sunrise. When entering the hotel, you walk through a metal detector. Secrurity guards outside stops all cars and searches under them with a mirror on a pole. The airport is about 25 minutes away. Beware that you will need a tourist visa costing 3 Kuwaiti dollars (about $10 American dollars). Get your money exchanged before arrival in Kuwait to speed up the visa process. (It took about 35 minutes to get my visa) You must take a number and wait your turn to get your tourist visa processed. When departing Kuwait, arrive early since you have to go through security lines twice. Once inside the terminal and again at your gate where you board your plane. My United flight to Dulles was at midnight and the airport was extremely crowded, but several shops were open.

I was there for a full 3 days meeting plus seminar.

What I found out is the location is very nice especially for those in love couple seeking retreat. The place is at the seaside. You can see the Kuwait tower and the Pyramid style Hard rock Cafe on the other hand.

Food was delicious. The marina is just next to it. You can see boats, yatch, etc.

In total enjoy my stay there. Love if i can be back there.

I spent one night in one of their executive suites and wasn’t impressed. Firstly, my hosts in Kuwait had asked me to book the hotel’s ‘meet & greet’ at the airport so I would be met off the plane and whisked through the fast track visa queue. I duly booked and had this confirmed by email but nobody was there for me so I had to queue up for half an hour for the visa. When I explained this to the Marina representative in the arrivals hall he put me in a taxi to the hotel so I could get there sooner than if I’d had to wait for the hotel’s shuttle. Unfortunately the taxi driver did not have any idea where the hotel was and had to stop and ask directions several times. This further delayed my arrival and my meeting with my hosts.

Check in went smoothly but on entering the suite I was struck by how bare it looked – I felt like I’d wandered into an operating theatre! The empty vases dotted around really would have benefited from some flowers (fresh or dried would have been a great improvement to the room).

The suite itself was large and comfortable enough and the bathroom was huge but the hotel was incredibly stingy with the toiletries. Small bottles and not many of them. I’d envisaged Maldives-like beauty at their description of the direct beach access but the doors opened onto a hedge, then walking path with the beach in front of that. The private beach was OK but didn’t appear to have anybody handing out towels (though there was actually nobody on the loungers so maybe they do so later in the year). The pool area was plain, not particularly appealing.

Room service was average as was the buffet breakfast.

On the plus side, he gym was very large and well equipped, the hotel is close to downtown and restaurants/shops.

It wasn’t a bad hotel but I think perhaps overpriced for what it was. Certainly the executive suite was never in a million years worth over US $1000/night. Thank goodness I wasn’t paying!

Stayed at the Marina Hotel for a week on a recent business trip to Kuwait. The hotel is much more upmarket and stylish than many of the usual 4/5* names represented in the city. Came here after a couple of nights in the JW Marriot (v.pleasent itself, but much less contemporary). Marina is not great location if you are working in the city centre as it is a bit of a drive (especially in the rush hour!) but if that isn't a great consequence for you, then you will find it to be a real oasis - cool spaces, attentive and friendly staff and great food. It even has 3 outdoor pools with views across the Kuwait bay to the ever rising city skyline. The Marina Mall next to the hotel is stunning, with more places to eat and drink - particularly nice are those around the marina itself. All in all the Marina is very pleasent break from the norm, but still a real 5* property.

I chose the hotel off the internet based on its website. If I was going to be working in Kuwait, I wanted a fine place to stay. This is a beautiful boutique hotel in an uncomparable beachfront location. Beautiful pools and grounds with stunning skyline views acrss the bay. Very large rooms with super spacious bathrooms. Private balcony. Overly helpful staff. It was Ramadan, so food was limited, but the breakfast buffet (hidden behind curtains) was sumptuous.
I had one complaint with the hotel regarding some accidental damage that they overcharged me for and would not compromise, but other than that I enjoyed the hotel very much.

This hotel, which was supposed to open last year, just opened its doors on January 20, 2005. As a result, the hotel is glimmering in new-ness! The marble floors in the expansive and comfortable lobby are shining, and the reception is filled with staff eager to assist guests. The rooms, at 47 square meters, are extremely spacious and come with a sea-view balcony, CD player, and high-speed Internet on the TV, along with a plush king-sized bed and fluffy pillows. The bathroom, which takes up more than a third of the room, features a separate shower cubicle, a large bathtub, a blue-light dome (really beautiful), and Bulgari bath amenities (in HUGE bottles)! The Six Palms restaurant, located in the middle of the hotel's sunny and airy atrium, serves delicious foof (a buffet is available) in a beautiful atmosphere. The Atlantis restaurant (still under construction), promises to be great as it juts into the sea and will feature live entertainment. The two swimming pools (also under construction) are huge for this 91-room hotel, and one has a pool bar. The view from the pool deck to the sea is to die for! As if this was not enough, the hotel also features a massive private beach. To top it off, one of the finest spas in the country is also in the hotel, featuring excellent massages, saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzis, and even squash courts! Two tennis courts are planned to open soon directly outside of the spa. The meeting facilities are decent for this small hotel (three spacious meeting rooms). The hotel is only steps away from the Marina Mall shopping complex, which is loaded with shops and restuarants (even a Hard Rock Cafe), and is only 15 minutes from Kuwait International Airport! All in all, this hotel is truly worth the money you pay, and was worth all the time it took to create. Once it fully finishes by summer this year, it will undoubtebly be one of Kuwait's gems.
