We were put in a third floor room of this hotel with a Gulf view and had a most enjoyable two-day stay. Our room was gorgeous, over-looking the hotel pools with a spectacular view of Kuwait City in the distance.

The lobby is very bright and welcoming. The check-in desk consists of two very personal-feeling desks places in front of a massive salt water fish tank that is quite striking. While checking in we were offered a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice, which is very welcome after a long flight.

The room was immaculate and large. The washroom was probably the largest I've seen in a hotel recently, complete with a soaker tub and massive executive shower. The washrooms also have bidets and are well-lit (including a sharp LED lighting system in the ceiling that can double as a night light). There were fresh flowers, a large fruit bowl and sweets waiting for us in our room upon check-in, and these were replenished on our second day.

The hotel provides free wi-fi. It is accessible with a username and password provided by the front desk. You can get as many usernames and passwords as you have devices. Additional usernames are free too.

We look advantage of the lap/infinity pool and it was wonderful. Clean and heated to about 82 degrees. The pool has no shallow end, so is pretty much used exclusively by swimmers, with the kids using the other pools.

The location of the hotel could not be better. Adjacent to a large mall and boardwalk it offers convenient shopping and a great area for walking / running.

The breakfast buffet is large and diverse. The 6 Palms restaurant where breakfast is served is large and bright - a welcome place to drink a cup of coffee and read a paper (the hotel lobby is also a great place for this).

Hotels in Kuwait are not exactly cheap, but this hotel is at the top end of the scale pricewise. On the beach and with a number of pools, this hotel would be great for summer but in the winter none of the amenities were useful.

Had a children's birthday party during the day on the visit with extremely loud noise from speaker system made for a quite unrelaxing time.

On a business trip with my husband and reaping the benefits of this lovely friendly hotel. The staff at check-in were listening to every detail of what I wanted, duly delivered. Basic modern in the rooms. The bathrooms are the creme-de-la-creme. I preferred room service rather than the huge buffet served every evening. I cannot dispute is way above average, I ordered from the room menu as I am more of an "A La Carte " diner. I was so impressed that I sent my congratulions down to the Chef. From the Duty Manager right down to the Pool Assistant, everything was as one would expect. Mary Lamb Dublin

Room Tip: Ask for one overlooking the Gulf

The best hotel I have experienced in Kuwait. Conveniently located close to Salmiyah business center, but also very pleasant with a view on the shore.
Rooms are spacious, well decorated with natural, design furniture. All amenities are supplied, bed and pillows were remarquable.
Staff is very courteous, efficient, but also very accessible.
The neighbouring mall is convenient, with good shopping opportunities and a choice of restaurants for all tastes and budgets.
Of course, for a more typical Kuwaiti outing, a 15mn taxi to the main souk (market) is recommended.
For joggers, a very pleasant corniche along the sea provides a quiet place for exercising.
