Nice hotel, good rooms and facilities, nice private beach... sounds perfect, right? Well, almost. After a long dry day exploring the desert, I walked up to the nice fresh water pool expecting to do a few laps before dinner... but I hardly had time to get wet because they kicked everybody out at 5 PM sharp and locked up the entire area! The sun was still nice and warm and up in the sky. C'mon guys, give us a bit more time OK?

the room was good and clean although the very small window allows only very little daylight in.
the restaurant is in a huge hall with the charme of a university cafeteria. The tables are made out of plastic and there is just enough space to walk between them. They don't have a winecard, just one white and red wine. A shame in a country that produces so many great wines. food is ok, not more. The beach is easy to reach within 2 minutes, the sunchairs don't open properly. Generally we were very disappointed by En Boqeq. The beaches are dirty and a lack of charme can be felt everywhere. If we go back to the Dead Sea we will certainly go to En Gedi!

Just spent the weekend with the wife. great way to be just by ourselves.
Tried my hand at the spa treatments for the first time. and I must say that it won't be the last.
The rooms are nice, the service is good as is the food.
Management seems to know what the're doing in the hospitality industry.

OK. I love this place, but I'll try to be objective. What I like about this hotel is that it is for adults only - and not in that way - just no children. They have complimentary tea in the lobby. They also restrict cell phone use. It's supposed to be no cell phone but in Israel, that's impossible so they accomplish the next best thing. I think that the spa facility is quite nice. I typically have a salt scrub and eventually an Ayurveda massage. There are many other options available. I recommend Oleg as a male therapist. He's very professional and kind. The service in the hotel is excellent. Who wouldn't be impressed when the security guard knows your name BEFORE you check in! The food isn't the very best, but it's certainly adequate. Sparkling wine at breakfast is a new touch - and it's much appreciated! The rooms are a generous size. Bathrobes and slippers are provided. Some touch up work is needed, but overall, the property is in good shape. There are a lot of choices on the Dead Sea, but I keep coming back here.
