We went for a relaxing holiday in August, and came back home disappointed!
The room was dirty, hair on the sheets, the carpet was unvacumed and the cups was unwashed. We had to wait half a day for cleaning. Out side the room the situation wasn't better - the garbage cans (also in the dinning room) was full all the time and more...
The hotel was very crowded and some of the gusts dippet in the pool and the Jaccuzzi with thier clothes and shoes (!!!) on!

Room Tip: Stay Away!

I had very low expectations going there and I am recommending this for those who are looking for an inclusive couple of days with the kids. First the negative: Hotel is old and facilities are kind of worn down. Food is not that impressive although nobody goes hungry. A lot of problems with the room. Feeling of a kibbutz / military dining experience.
The good. Service was quick and good, solving all the problems we had with the room. Kids club was great for our three boys, aged 4-10. 2 min walk from private dead sea beach. Pool was shaded.

The hotel is situated at the seaside of the Dead Sea, so you walk directly from the swimming pool to the beach (unlike most other hotels in the area where you have to cross the road to reach the beach). This is a all inclusive hotel, including all meals and free beer, wine, coffee and soft drinks.
There are two parts of the hotel. The right side (seen from the entrance) is the new part and the rooms are very nice with view to the pool and the Dead Sea. The left side (from the entrance) is the older part. My recommendation is to request a room in the new part of the hotel.
The food is very good. The restaurant is self service with plenty of choices.
If you get here by car (some 190 Km from Tel Aviv, just over 2 hours drive), there is plenty of free parking.

Room Tip: Request a room in the new part (the south part, right side of the hotel seen from the entrance)

First , I must say that I do not usually contribute to these types of web sites, but since I had so much “fun” at this place I felt a moral responsibility to share my experience and warn human kind from coming to this hotel.
I stayed at this hotel for four nights though by the 2nd day my wife and I were ready to go home.
I was expecting to have a relaxing experience, have fun, enjoy good food and get a quality service. Instead I encountered long lines, poor service, terrible food, dirty rooms and more...Here are a few examples of the Leonardo club experience:

1) Waiting to get coffee or snacks for 10-15 minutes because the hotel doesn't bother to put more than one person at the counter...in some cases, I had to wait in a long line outside under 41C degrees with no shade... sounds like fun, right?

2) Quality of the food - I wasn't looking for a three star Michelin quality, but is it too much to ask for a fresh decent salad? By the quality of the raw materials, you can tell that quality and flavour were the last things that the “Chef” was thinking of when he made the food. Not to mention that each day they ran out of Orange juice 10 minutes into the breakfast …more of a military dining room experience for those of you who ever been to one.

3) Negligence – bathrooms with no soap and broken faucets; dirty and sticky floors; filthy baby seats, broken glasses, and the list goes on.

4) The hotel web site proudly promotes their mini amusement park for kids. Reality is that half the rides were not working and water slides were closed. Staff was very nervous and anxious – looked like they just wanted to try and finish the night with no one getting hurt.

5) Lifeguard smoking over the pool.

I could go on but I think you get the picture. This hotel is terrible. If you want to enjoy your vacation I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
