This was a very strange experience. Hotel is in a very nice location with a great view and a good beach. However, this hotel is "all inclusive", meaning all food and beverages were included. Meals consisted of large quantities of poor to mediocre food; the wine was horrible. Meals were a unpleasent experience with large crowds hovering over huge buffet tables. A low-end cruise or Downtown Las Vegas buffets are the best analogy. We ended up eating most of our meals outside of the hotel. Common areas and the pool were very crowded. Very definitely a "Family" style resort. From what I could tell, we were the only Americans on property

The location, beach and spa were were nice. I've been to the Dead Sea many times and I love the lanscape, bathing in the Dead Sea, the tranquility and the sulphur pools. But I would not stay at this hotel again. The hotel is very big and the reception desk was not sufficiently staffed for so many guests and we had to wait in line too much. The rooms that overlook the pool and sea were subject to the very loud music during the activities at the pool. People who enjoy eating a great deal will enjoy the variety and quantity of food and free drinks available all day. For me, the over hype is at odds with the point of what I love about a vacation at the Dead Sea which is total physical and mental relaxation and rejuvination.

the hotel lives off of its location right on the Dead Sea. It's off by itself, away from all the other hotels in the area, so unless you have a car or want to take the shuttle, your evening entertainment is pretty much limited to whatever the hotel provides. Pool closes at 6pm. So does the Dead Sea beach. My 7-yr old son loved the arcade (nobody at the hotel had change - it's all inclusive, so technically you don't need money, except for the arcade). Lobby smells funky, like gym/pool/nursing home. The whole place looks like it was a 4-star hotel in the 70s but hasn't been touched since then. Towels threadbare; pool loungers coverd with bird poop (all of them, all over, not just a few stains, not kidding!), stained carpets, cheap plastic chairs in the entertainment room -- the whole place looks like it needs a good overhaul. When we were there, the hotel was filled with Russian visitors. Menus, signs, all in Russian. Buffet food was ok, a notch or two above diner level. Service was slow and spotty, both at the reception and in the restaurant. Reception is understaffed. 2 slow old elevators can't keep up with the crowds. Not a good experience, especially for the price. Would not stay again.

A very nice place for a family vacation.
Good things: The pool with the water slides and the private beach are great. This hotel is located directly on the Dead Sea beach which was important for us. And you can use Dead Sea mud for free on the beach. The food is very nice and they have a really good variety. The rooms are fine, especially those with a sea view.
Less good: The mini club and the teen club could be more attractive for kids. The Spa was OK, but massages could be better (especially for hotel prices).
Overall: It was the best hotel on the Dead Sea we've ever visited. Will definitely come again.

Room Tip: ask for a sea view. the scenery is wonderful
