“Very disappointing hotel”
Reviewed December 23, 2013

Large and impressive hotel but at a very low maintenance. Rooms are not clean. Surfaces Testing shows that there is dust on surfaces that are used daily. Sticky and unclean floor.
Reasonable dinner but not more. Much less to level of 5 stars in Israel. Breakfast even worse. Even 3 star guesthouse have cut vegetables and salad, and here tomatoes cut into quarters. Actually, the first time I saw breakfast at Israeli hotel without vegetables. Poor cornerstone for making hot drinks. there is no choice of flavored tea bags, only one type (the most simple one). You can teke hot drinks with throwaway cups.
The pool with water from the Dead Sea is pleasant, but there is not enough towels and we had to wait for delivery towels.
Bad staff service. Answering to phone calling from the room after 5 minutes. Room Service did'nt answer at all.

Room Tip: Wait to Hotel Renovation ...

It's as if nobody ever cleans the room .
The pool area looks like a construction site .
No lights or electricity in the the toilet ( are you kidding me ? )
The food is just the worst ever .

NEVER GOING BACK !!!

I very much enjoyed the one night we stayed in this lovely place. The only downside was the lack of drinking water & the sheer size. The 3 dining rooms made it hard to find our group, with no proper communication about where our group was meant to be having dinner. This made us very late for our Shabbat meal causing some angst amongst members of the tour group. Otherwise, the shops at the hotel were convenient & not overpriced. The decor was stunning, breakfast tasty with much variety, and the close beach a welcome treat.

good things:
* a good location and a nice view from the room to the dead sea
*big hotel and big rooms
*big outdoor pool and spa

bad things:
*bad service- we had to ask them to come and clean our room, the service in the dining room is bad
*the room was not clean as well as other places in the hotel
*it seems like the hotel must go through a serious rennovation. everything seems really old(rooms. elevators, carpets ,dining room chairs and tables)
*a lot of Dirty dishes in the dining room
*the meals aren't correspond to a five-star hotel
*the spa is avarege and old

be aware: in the launch there aren't many places to eat in the dead sea area and in the evening there are no bars or clubs so after the dinner there is nothing to to there.

Room Tip: high floor(7+) with view to the pool and sea.make sure to get a room with a view to the big pool of...

Inside, it is the most beautiful hotel in the Dead Sea area (I have visited all of them), and its Dead Sea water pool is the largest and the most impressive one. Floating on the water in this pool is sheer pleasure. The fitness room is very good. The swimming pool is beautiful (but was not heated this weekend, so I could not use it).The hotel architecture is superb. Everything is huge and impressive -- the spaces, the patio, the lobby. The view from the room (ours was at the 10th floor, facing the sea, the swimming pool and the mountains) is amazing. The food is very good, the staff are helpful. There are six very fast elevators.

But the mainteance is inadequate. There are many dirty spots in the hotel including the floor in our room and the huge windows of the hall of the Dead Sea water pool. There are many worn pieces of furniture that need replacement. There are some inconveniences. For example, we often heard noises like toilette flushing from behind our bathroom. It seems that there is a pipe there that transmits the noise of another bathroom., and these noises were heard at times every 15 minutes or so, including during the night. The hotel is going to have a new management in January 2014, so I hope that with a higher motivation to succeed, they will fix whatever needs to be fixed and enable the visitors to fully enjoy this magnificient hotel.

Room Tip: A room like ours -- high floor, facing the sea, the pool and the mountains -- gives the visitor a br...

Got to Le Meridien hotel for a two days work-fun session with 10 co-workers. As we have been before at this hotel, I held very high expectations regarding the food, services, room maintanence and more... Well ,on all items listed, the hotel scored poorly. The one item that has not declined was the ...room price. Very costly (although supposedly we got a corporate rate). Will not be back, unless I will see there is a major change.

Room Tip: Ask for the Dead Sea view and ensure you don't stay in line more than 10 minutes at the receptio...

Sloopy service, lousy food, dirty and noisy environment. I had to carry the suitcases by myself after being kept waiting for the bellboy more than 30 minutes, and of course the baby cradle that we ordered in advance was absent... Children's playroom dirty and poorly attended. kissed the treshold of my home when I got back....
