“Wonderful Stay”

Nice hotel. Great room. Loved that way that you hit a button to turn on a light to say" Do NOT DISTURB" or TO MAKE UP the ROOM. Great room amenities. 5 minute walk to the Dead Sea. Amazing breakfast buffet, food was fresh and hot. Only draw back is that our tour got there about 10PM and we left at 10 AM the next day. Would liked to have stayed longer

I stayed in this hotel in 2009 and back then I was not impressed.
This time I stopped over for a simple breakfast.
We drove very early from the airport to see the sunrise over the dead sea and stopped there for breakfast.

The quantity of food is not the issue, but at every corner of the restaurant you would not be surprised to meet a rat. I guess the place is far too hot for rats and it is simply what must be stopping them from coming to the most disgusting restaurant I have seen in a big chain like this.

We paid 70 NIS per head, somewhat USD 19 per person, so not really cheap.

In brief, the place is DISGUSTING !!!

We were the first one opening the breakfast at 7.00am, so there could not be any left over from previous customers. We did witness dirty tables, out of age, dirty and broken coffee machines. Plates and cutlery were dirty, we had to be very picky to find a clean one.
The pictures I made speak for themselves. In Europe or US this place would be closed for hygiene reasons overnight!
I can't say anything about the rooms that I have not see this time, but I can only imagine how the rest of the hotel must be falling apart.
If you know some people working in hygiene inspection in Israel, please do send them there…

Avoid at any price

Room Tip: dont stay there

We spent a 2 night vacation in this hotel.
The rooms were dirty.
Our friends killed 3 roaches within the first hour of their stay.
The room's floor was so dirty and sticky that I didn't dare walk barefoot.
There was a big group of guests that made a lot on noise in the pool and even though everyone complained the hotel did not take care of it.
At the end they even moved up the check out time by two hours ignoring the complaints of the guests.
There are plenty of nice hotels in the area- my recommendation is to stay away from this hotel.

This place is just AWFUL! People here are just down right rude. The staff is of no help and are completely unprofessional and incompetent. When we had arrived it was nearly 106 degrees inside the hotel as they do not run airconditioning where the rooms are. We waited forever to catch the elevator (the elevators are so slow I felt like I would turn another year before it reached the lobby) up to the 13th floor and could not even get in because the key card was not activated correctly it took all of an hour to fix this we even asked for another room but staff responded rudely with a sharp no!. Finally inside, the room was overtly appalling and filthy. The floors were stained, the bath tub was growing mold and mildew all over it, one of the comforters had a BLOOD STAIN on it and upon realizing this we had asked staff for new linens and they had never came to replace them. The food is not good at all and service staff do everything in their power to not let you enjoy your meal. There were flys all over the dining room and birds swooping in and eating the salads from the salad bar. I would definitely not recommend this place to not even an enemy. This place is not worth your money at all. If you can't find a place to stay and this is the only one with vacancy save your money and your life and just visit the Dead Sea as a day trip.

The hotel needs renovation badly ! Located at distance of 500 m from Dead Sea . Poor service and nonprofessional staff . Positive points are good food , nice pool , good entertainment programs.
Many other good alternatives of hotels in the same location and nearer to the beach.

Room Tip: All rooms face the Dead Sea

We came to this hotel for a weekend (2 nights) that was paid for by my work place. We were a couple with a 4 year old girl.
This hotel has beautiful facilities and it shows that the initial investment in it was large. However, the management of the hotel seems to do everything possible in order to run it to the ground.
One of the things we noticed was the total lack of signs and labels. How is someone supposed to know where everything is or what they are putting on their plates?
The rooms are a good size, however the air conditioning in our room (320) did not work that well. We had already changed rooms once we arrived so we decided to stick with the one we got despite this problem.
Breakfast is OK (as usual in Israeli hotels) but the service level is appalling. The seating for the Israelis is separate from the foreign groups (!) and we found ourselves without a table on Saturday morning (we came down at 08:15, breakfast goes on until 10:30). Finally the waitress told us to sit at a table for 6 and told us to say we were a larger group if anyone asks. You have to beg for coffee, there was no napkin to hold the bread with and so on...
Dinner was much worse as the food is really not good and the service is the same as breakfast.
The pool is large and beautiful, but could use some shading, at least over parts of it and also many of the tiles on the edges of the pool are either broken or missing.
The kids club is also very nicely decorated but the staff sit around getting instructions from their boss and don't pay much attention to the kids in the club (this was the case for both mornings we were there). The club suffers from the same maintenance problems as the rest of the hotel.
In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone who has to pay for himself.

Room Tip: I heard that from the 6th floor up the rooms get better, but the elevators are crowded, especially o...

This IS NOT a good hotel for the independent traveler. The management company, Fatal Hotels, caters to group bus tours and as such is not well setup for individual travelers. I'm certain the hotel was once a fantastic resort, and has all of the potential to again be a fantastic resort, but seems mismanaged. They have preciously few front desk workers, and getting issues addressed requires a trip to the front desk and a long wait due to the fact that the phone operators do not speak English and in calling for service, the phone rings and rings. If someone does answer, they promptly hang up when they discover you don't speak Hebrew. Long lines were always present at the front desk. The Dead Sea is a short walk across the street to a decent, private beach and the hotel pool areas are nice. The biggest problem is inattentive staff and mismanagement.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms have been recently refurbished and are quite excellent, despite many things not wo...
