The best thing is location and vicinity to the Dead Sea (from many other hotels need to cross the road and this is not that pleasant in hot weather). We also liked the swimming pool, as it has internal currents, jet-stream corners and waterfalls. Food is OK, rooms are OK and in general we enjoyed our vacation.
However it is not 5 star holiday, I would give 4.

The hotel was filthy (including rooms and many public areas).

Beyond that, I made the mistake of buying a wooden backgammon set in their gift shop and having them mail it to me. It arrived months after they said it would and (since they wrapped it only in paper for international shipping) it arrived shattered. No refund has been given so far...

There are better hotels in this location.

Our stay at the Dead Sea was pleasant but certainly not a crowne plaza experience .the best thing of this hotel is that it has a private beach and a great swimming pool.
The hotel is medium quality no more even less . The food is avarage , breakfast was o.k. dinner was not good . The rooms were renovated w h e n ??? the renovation is not nice or inspiring .
we don't smoke and when we order the room through the israeli site you can not mention " no smoking room " so unfourtunaly we got a smoking room , when we asked if we can change the room , they told us we can not because they r full , belive me they were not full because i try to order some rooms for the same day and ther were no problem.
if you can stay else where do so .

a big size hotel, all rooms are directly facing the dead sea!!!
we had a stunning view of dead sea in the morning when the sun raise!
hotel just in front of the sea, the pool area is connecting to the sea, so from your room to the sea just wihin minutes. great bonnus!
food was ok, buffet dinner. lots of elderly couples there this time of the year (beginning of April), so that it's queit in the evening, no big disco music.
recommend this hotel, if you want to take advantage to get into the sea within minute and have a stunning view in the room.

Room was beautiful, breathtaking view of the Dead Sea. clean and comfortable with a balcony where we could sit and marvel at the beauty of the sea. We were disappointed that when we arrived around 6 PM, pool and beach access were closed. Buffet dinner was ridiculously expensive--should have checked out cafe across the street. Next morning, ate breakfast (included) at 7 AM and then went right into the sea--the sun was warm and so was the water. Perfect weather! Sooo much fun to float in the sea! I showered off right there and did not feel sticky or uncomfortable. I could have stayed all day at the beach, but we had to check out at 11. There is a nice little "mall" within walking distance--all kinds of beach items, clothing, food and Dead Sea products. Also, Masada is really close, and En Gedi is beautiful. That beach would have been fine, and there were other places we could have stayed, such as the Masada Guest House--but we wanted to be right on the water.
We were thrilled just to be at the Dead Sea, but I must say, the staff did not speak English well, and people in the buffet lines seemed extremely rude. Another American couple (the only English speaking people we met there) told us that butting in line is common--if your shoulders are not touching the person next to you, then another person will feel free to butt in between you. We laughed, and realized that as Americans and Yankees at that, we like a little more personal space. So if we ever go back, my husband and I will be joined at the shoulders when standing in line.
Also, people have commented that parking was a problem. We had no problems parking at the hotel--we were there from Sun-Mon.

Just wanted a clean, convenient place to land for my first two days in Israel with my 5-year-old daughter. We were lucky to get a top-floor room facing the water -- beautiful view of Dead Sea and pools below. The room was fine, not updated or lovely, but fine. The bed was quite comfortable. One real probably at this hotel is parking: you might get one of the few available spots in the tiny lot. If not, good luck hunting around. One kind security guard "found" me a place in back since I had a sick child to deal with, but otherwise you're stuck. The buffet meals are quite expensive, but room service is reasonable and there are a couple of cafes about a 5-minute walk away. Basically, this place is fine if you just want to be in close driving distance of Masada, Ein Gedi and the Negev (and, of course, get a Dead Sea experience). Otherwise, the whole Ein Bokek resort strip is sort of a dumpy place, not worth a trip on its own.

This hotel clearly caters to families , which is fine, but should say so. There was absolutely nothing to do after 7 pm. There were children's show but no activities for adults. The rooms were large but toilet did not flush.
The food was mediocre and a buffet every meal. Would recommend another hotel that offiers more than a pool and poor food. Too pricey for what you get.
We had to park at mall across the road because the hotel did not have enough parking space so we usally had long walks to and from car. Definitely not the calibur hotel normally seen with Crown Plazas
