Leonardo Plaza Hotel Dead Sea

Stayed for 2 nights (Sat-Mon). Rooms look a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was great, dinner was ok. The spa is really nice, with jacuzzi, saunas and an indoor salt-water pool.
The hotel is on a cliff with a great view of the Dead Sea, but not on the beach. Luckily they run a shuttle service to the beach of the nearby Leonardo Plaza which leaves every 20 minutes. The beach is well-equipped with sunbeds, towels and drinking water.
All in all this hotel is a good option for a Dead Sea holiday on the less expensive side.

This is clearly a resort and spa area at the southern basin of the Dead Sea. While there are several hotels to choose from (including several in the Leonardo family) I found this one to be quite nice. My suite, with a large balcony overlooking the sea, was nicely equipped and quite comfortable. The air conditioning was not working in the sitting room but the one in the bedroom worked well enough for both. And, one could tell that the room was a little worn but overall I was pleased with everything...especially for the value.
While not as nice as the Le Meridian, it's a nice alternative if you want to drop a category and save some money.
The only negative is that it's quite a little walk from the sea. They do however have transportation to their sister property and it's about a four minute ride. I belive it runs every twenty minutes or so, so it's still convienient. Very nice buffet in the evenings and good breakfasts as well. Overall...a thumbs up.

Much to our pleasure and amazement, our tour company assigned us a corner suite complete with wraparound balcony overlooking the Dead Sea. The suite had 1 1/2 baths and full sitting room and king bedroom. A short hike or shuttle bus offered access to the Dead Sea beach and services at the hotel's Dead Sea counterpart. Our hotel was quieter than its counterpart.

The buffet breakfast and dinner were good. Service adequate. A lobby bar offered place for socialization. Rooms were clean.

mainly when you come to the Dead Sea area, or shall I say when I go there is just to enjoy what mother nature gave us, I am not a fan of the sea in general so it is important for me to find a great hotel with a great spa that offers also a pool with the healing dead sea water.

I must say I checked several spas in several hotels in the Dead Sea and found this one to be the top, they have an amazing sauna (dry and wet) the best is to jump to the freezing cold water after the sauna there is a special small pool next to it. guarantee you would love it! the massage there was a pleasure (although didnt like the massive amount of oil the masseuse put on my hair) and the view from the hotel is stunning.
Quick tip, you shall book in advance and dont wait for last minute as rooms are taken very fast there. highly recommended hotel for those who like Spa, luxury and good food! and the Dead Sea area is really good for your health!! and as they say it is The World's largest natural spa. so enjoy it.

The hotel located in the Dead sea- a boring place without entertaiment. The price is to high for that location. But the hotel is good and the food is good.

The hotel is not directly on the beach but a shuttle service is provided. The hotel and the rooms are well designed, clean, the food is excellent. The hotel spa is well equipped and the staff is very nice. The only thing I did not like were many Arab women who entered the inner pool in their long garbs. It was disgusting. Everybody should take a shower before entering the pool and they entered the pool fully dressed in something that looked like a winter coat. I can understand that it is a part of their culture but to a European/American guest who paid for his stay quite it was not fair.
