Came for the 6 Hours at the Glen with my teenaged son. Great racing in a variety of classes. I hadn't been to the Glen in years, and the improvements in the facilities are great. WGI staff were all friendly and helpful. Garage and team areas were open to the public all day, and team staff were amazingly fan friendly. When I asked a basic car question, a Ferrari team member invited us both into the work area and explained fascinating details about the machines.

What a great deal! People under 19 were free for the weekend, and my pass for the whole weekend was $45 with free parking and plenty of it. All grandstands and viewing areas were open for this event, no special passes needed for pit bleachers or grandstand.

People seemed to be having a great time and, though there were plenty of partiers, we didn't experience any inappropriate or offensive behavior.

Minor complaint - concession prices were high ($4.00 for a bottle of Coke) but I expected that. Next time I'll be sure to bring a cooler packed with beverages, food and plenty of ice.

We will be back!

Thank Douglas C

I took 5 kids to the sahlens race. The area was very clean, staff was very friendly and one went out of his way to show my daughter & I the closest bathroom. Can't wait to return!

This to me is one of the best race track experiences on the east coast. I've raced on it yearly for nearly 7 years. Always worth the visit!

The sleepy little town of Watkins Glen is the birthplace of American road racing. You must visit if you are a road racing fan. Don't bother with the crowds of the NASCAR weekend. Come for an SCCA regional or national race. No big crowds to deal with and you get free grandstand admission. Come watch great amature racing. You won't be disappointed.

Well I finally made the trip to "The Glen" to run the track. Boy it was worth every second even the RV breaking down and the nightmare that ensued getting my cars there. But The Glen and the weather didn't disappoint. I also had the pleasure of staying at the Harbor Hotel at the edge of Seneca Lake, what a wonderful surprise this was. The hotel was relatively new, spotless and a pleasant staff.

My pro coach LP Dumoulin was just off his first place win at MOSPORT which set the tone nicley.

As Ferris Bueller so eloquently said, "if you have the means I recommend it highly" or something to that effect, but you get the gist.

Great track whether you watching a pro race or taking to the track yourself, probably one of the best 2 tracks I've ever run.
