We loved this cruise. We took the Saturday night dinner cruise with live music . Had the Cornish game hen and he had prime rib... It was delicious but we could have done without the corn...maybe a different vegetable. The crew was friendly and attentive. We didn't get the top deck due to the reservations ahead of us . So I recommend making reservations early.

If you are looking for a relaxing, fun evening, try the Burgers and Blues Cruise on Lake Seneca. Great price for a 2 hour boat ride, live entertainment and a picnic food buffet. We had a wonderful server and found all staff members very caring and willing to please. Music group was entertaining and engaging. There was plenty of food with the buffet, quality was average. A great way to spend an evening in Watkins Glen.

We had a great time on the Dinner Cruise! The crew was attentive and so friendly! The food was amazingly good compared to other dinner cruises we have been on. The prime rib was tender and served to order and the scallops in creamy mushroom sauce were delightful. The lake is so beautiful and we were captivated by the scenery along the shore. We will go again the next time we go to Watkins Glen.

Great location, nice scenery, pricing ok, but way too much salt in all dishes in our party of 6. We could not taste any alcohol in our frozen drinks.
Will not be back

We don't live too far from The Glen, and every year we said we would take this dinner cruise, but were always so busy, but with two kids going off to college, both had birthdays, and our anniversary fast approaching, we decided to go. WHAT A MISTAKE!! We were told to board 45 minutes prior to dinner. It was hot, no fans, and they had piped in gawd awful jazz over the loudspeakers. The early boarding is likely to give the bar time to sell teeny little cocktails in the cheapest plastic disposable glasses you could imagine.

When you make reservations, you must declare your entree. You have a choice of Prime Rib, Stuffed Cornish Game Hen, Scallops in a wine/mushroom sauce or vegetarian lasagne. We chose the prime rib.

There was no tour-like info about the lake or any history of the area. Eventually, we were served a salad, that wouldn't meet cafeteria standards. Again in a cheap, thin plastic bowl. Below average. The entire time, the piped in muzak jazz is playing. The lights went on and so help me, they were overhead porch lights! There wasn't even't a fake LED candle on our table. We were getting antsy, but there was nothing we could do - we were stuck on this boat. The couple in back of us were evidently expecting a romantic eveniing. Not.

Eventually, we got our dinner- all four of us had the prime rib, and it was surprisingly good. Large juicy cut. Our baked po. was still wrapped in aluminum foil, and also on the plate was some sort of canned corn mixture. DH ate all of his, DD and I took ours home.
By then it was into hour 10000 of this cruise,

For dessert, we were served cheesecake with strawberries, which I thought was odd. Not everyone likes cheesecake, and not everyone can eat cheesecake. Most of ours was left on our plates.

While they were doing this, they announced our kids' birthdays, and mispronounced DS's THREE LETTER NAME!!

Finally we could see the lights of the harbor, and people started downstairs for the exit. When we were docked, people sprinted for the gangway.

I debated about posting this: I like supporting the local economy, and this has the possibility of being terrific! It just wasn't. Karaoke, a keyboardist taking requests - an guitar player -ANYTHING would have improved this.If they absolutely must pipe in music, why not Michael Buble or Josh Groban? And better lighting. Tivoli lights with some LED "candles?" DD said she wished we had brought a deck of cards or Trivial Pursuit. I understand that they don't want glass on board because it will break. But Corelle won't, and would have really upped the atmosphere, and even some colored plastic "glasses" from Walmart that they sell during the summer - patrons could take them with them, so they wouldn't have to be washed.

We were disapponted, to say the least. The couple in back of us was waiting to exit, and I mentioned that this had taken 25 years to take this cruise. They had waited 10, and like us, they were very disappointed.

At $43/per person, it is wayyyyyy overpriced. Unless it improves, this will have to stand.
