my fiancé & I stopped at House Of Hong to order & take back to our wonderful motel on Seneca Lake. There have been reviews on this restaurant (not positive) but regardless of what was said, we both thought we would try it, as we have a fav from back home in Ontario, Canada we so enjoy but wanted to compare/try it? Definitely not a place either one of us agreed would be worth giving a second try; the restaurant has both Chinese as well as Japanese, we ordered from both areas. The Miso soup was thick, almost like a gel, no flavour; Edame Beans & Seaweed Salad, okay but very pricey for the amount you get. My fiancé ordered a Shrimp in Lobster sauce but he got a "soup" with shrimp in it?!?!?!? Also ordered beef & broccoli (small size-expensive and no real flavour to it), egg rolls were okay. To be honest we order over $25.00 from our "fav" in Hamilton, Ontario Canada, you get an order of deep fried wings, and 20% discount. none of the flavours taste the same, the egg foo young is amazing; we order seriously enough for 8-10 people (always get some funny comment from the owners wife @ Cheungs in Hamilton ) but we so love the food. "House of Hong" is not a overly friendly place, the food is not worth the drive and the price, for what we got was 37.00 RED FLAG...STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
