“Sort of a brewpub but not”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

One of the best restaurants ever! We decided to try it on our way through town based on the online menu. I was immediately impressed by the in-house brewed beer served at the right temperature (not too cold). I had the Mysterious amber ale - superb! Since there was so much on the menu that looked good, the two of us decided to split three items. We started with the crab and gouda dip served with bread for dipping - yummy. Second course was the grilled cheddar sandwich with caramelized onions and roasted red peppers. A little light on the cheese, but tasty just the same. We finished with the goat cheese and bacon pizza. I would have liked more bacon, but, again, very good. Also, the service was excellent. I don't remember if there were TV's or not. Probably at their Crooked Rooster Brewpub next door. We have vowed to make 2½ hour treks from home in the future to sample the rest of the menu.

“Top Notch Micros”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2012

After visting a few Seneca Lake wineries, the Ms and I were feeling a bit peckish, so we ran in to Watkins Glen for a bite. We've really enjoyed eating at the Wildflower, but on this November evening it was closed already, so we went to the Rooster Fish. Big fans of the beer. Really well done, they had a porter that was incredible! I've seen a lot of review slamming the food, and I thought it was fine. You really otta stick to bar food a a brewery, nothing too fancy. They had flatbread pizza that was pretty good. All in all, pretty good experience.

“Not horrible, but not worth your time or money.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 16, 2012

The staff is like many other establishments, friendly but not so wonderful as waitstaff. The beer selection is awesome so maybe stopping in for a beer is good but the food is not worth it. The dishes were over priced and just lacking in taste and some pizzazz. Not worth the time or money, many other great local favorites to choose over this one.

“Nice Lunch Spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 16, 2012

We were there on a quiet Monday, no waiting for a table. Service was prompt, menu is varied and food preparation has some nice unique twists. Street parking was easily available for two hours. Our server gave us some great recommendations and servings were ample. Others might be interested in the fact it is a microbrewery, we did not have any beer. The only negative, I thought it was a little pricey, though it is a tourist town. This is the only place we ate at in town, so I don't have a point of comparison.

“Great beer, average food”

They have a beer tasting flight that was very enjoyable. We especially liked the Raven beer. The food was fairly typical American bar food.
