“Nice ride”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

The Schooner True Love is a very clean & nice, historical, 68 foot boat with a friendly staff. It departs from directly behind the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel, and besides one other small boat, there are no other touring boats in this marina. It departs 4 times a day and prices range from $29 to $49 per person, depending on the time of day you sail. We took the 10:00-11:30 am tour that cost $29 per person.

There was hardly any wind on the day we sailed so we basically just drifted along. At times the captain revved up the engine and took us close to the shoreline to see what he described as the 3rd largest waterfall in NY State. Besides this and some nice scenery, there is nothing else to see on this lake. There were what appeared to be some large factories but that was it.

So overall, the boat ride was nice but you cannot call this a sightseeing tour, because there are no "sights" on Seneca Lake. :(

“Amazing sail, well worth it.”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

We just sailed "True Love" and would do it again. Today was a beautiful day for a sail, great weather and wind. The crew was very friendly. The owners were pleasant and made great conversation. The ship is well maintained and comfortable. If you ever get the chance, this is a MUST DO experience. You won't regret it. We are already planning to do this again.

“Fabulous Experience”
Reviewed August 5, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I took the mid-afternoon cruise today. It was a beautiful, relaxing afternoon. The scenery was breathtaking and the crew was wonderful. Neither my husband or I had ever been out on a sailboat before and this was everything we hoped it would be. They casually gave us interesting background of the area . Captain Larry and his crew are the best! An outing on the schnooner " True Love" is more well worth the time and money!

“Professional and Courteous Staff”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

Captain Larry was engaging and informative. Mates Gavin and Gavin were great company and quick to help with anything we needed. Nothing like seeing Lake Seneca while gliding along with no motor running on a sunny day. Very relaxing. Thanks, guys!

“Love at first sight”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

My husband always wanted to go on a sail boat excursion. Schooner excursion was perfect. The winds were about 30 mph from northwest which provided for great sailing. A young boy was on our boat for his first ride and the captain made sure he would never forget it. He chatted with the guests and explained the boat to the young boy. It's always nice to see adults showing interest in the youth. The ride was wonderful fun. If you sit in the front of the boat wear a poncho, especially if its windy. Great value. Two hour ride for $39.00 a person. Would go again!!!
