Bar far the nicest place , does good food and the rooms are very well proportioned.

Only downside is I was near a noisy extractor/AC unit

Stayed over Easter weekend with husband and 2 boys. It is a lovely hotel, super clean and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the indoor pool/hot tub. Not large, but enough for the kids to exert some energy. The rooms are beautiful and not cramped. We had a king bed w/ pull out sofa. The beds are "SO COMFORTABLE"!!! I need to check with the hotel to see what kind of mattress they use (no kidding). We had a "village view" but was able to see the lake from our balcony. There is turn down service and eco-friendly toiletries. Walk-in tiled shower is very nice. Our first morning we had breakfast downstairs. Be prepared, it isn't cheap. Our waiter seemed either frazzled or new. It took a bit too long to get our food and then later on we learned we were given the wrong check. Someone called our room to tell us - unfortunately we'd underpaid. On our last night we had a fridge full of leftovers but no microwave in the room. I called the front desk to ask if there was one in the hotel we could use. We brought the bag of food down to the front desk and one of the employees took it to the kitchen to heat it up for us. Very nice! Having microwaves in the rooms would be a nice touch, though as well as recycling recepticals. Overall, definitely a place we will stay again.

Room Tip: view of lake is a bonus

I always read tripadvisor before a hotel stay - and boy did the reviewers not disappoint. The Harbor Hotel is beautiful, stylish, clean and just plain fancy. Our room was gorgeous and when asked, Jessica, the kind front desk person, upgraded us to a Jacuzzi suite. The bathroom was almost as big as some hotel rooms we have stayed at. The beds were comfy and we thought the turn down service was cool, we made sure our room attendant was rewarded!! I read all the reviews and was leery that this was upscale and not for families. Not true, they really welcome you. There were other young families enjoying the facility. The pool was just the right size with a nice warm whirlpool. This place is special, go treat yourself. We will be back.

Room Tip: Just ask for an upgrade, nothing ventured.

We stayed at this hotel after a wine tasting event. Our children decided to stay with us at the end of the event, and although it was midnight they very graciously supplied us with a really nice Aero bed complete with sheets, pillows, and blankets for them to sleep on. It's a really nice, comfortable hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a lake-view room.

We had a great night's stay. Really nice rooms that were spacious and had a great view of the harbor. Wished the weather had been better. The restaurant although expensive was good.

Stayed here for 4 days visiting the wine country. First class hotel, staff, concierge, etc. Room was beautiful, roomy and clean, with great lake view. Beds and bedding were plush - I had the best nights sleep - ever! Right in town so you can walk to coffee shops, family restaurants, pubs, etc. The only negative was, as another reviewer said, bleached hardwood floors make it able to hear someone with high heels walking in the the room above you. Also did not see any in-room safe. I will stay here again - especially midweek in the offseason to get good rates.

Room Tip: Go offseason, midweek, get lakeview room

This trip was our first to the fingerlakes wine country of New York and was included in our tour package. The hotel had nicely appointed modern decor, situated with an awesome view of lake/harbor from pool, bar, restaurant and rooms with balconies. The King sized bed was the most comfortable...even tried to purchase the bedding! Unique was the hardwood flooring in the bedroom area which allowed you to hear anyone with high healed shoes above you. Next time we will ask for a 4th floor room! Shower stall had nice granite, no bathtub.Refrigerator in room, no microwave. The staff was very helpful and professional, also proud of no breach of security issues since opening. Walking distance to homecooked family restaurants.

Room Tip: View of lake with balcony ...Top floor
