What a great place for an afternoon hike! Nothing too difficult and you can choose to take alternative trails if you feel like doing a bit more hiking. Really gorgeous scenery. We left with amazing pictures! Bring cash for parking.

“Awesome experience of a natural wonder”

There was nothing to dislike unless you weren't prepared for some wetness on the ground at time - and some stair-climbing. But every step you'll take will leave you awed at the beauty of this site.

“Nature at it's Best!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 22, 2012

Beautiful scenery and waterfalls. The 800 steps make for a good workout but they are spread throughtout, except for the 160 at the end. Great job blending the steps with the natural landscape. Can be wet and slippery with fallen leaves..wear appropriate shoes.

“Beyond awesome!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

Breathtaking walk to see the relationship between water and rock over millions of years. Our hard-working laborers and state officials at the beginning of the 20th century created a wonderful gorge walking pathway to see the spender of the waterfalls and rock formations and water carvings for generations to come. 806 steps to the top. Wear waterproof shoes or boots with lots of traction as some of the path gets wet. Total walking up and down or down and up is about 2 miles. Give yourself about 3 hours to see it all at a leisurely pace with resting to view and catch your breath going up.
