We had lunch at Le Senechal to spoil ourselves on the final day of our week holiday in the region. Our choice was the lunch menu of the day. Each course of the menu was excellent, as were the small amuse and sweets that preceded and concluded our repas.
Our only question here concerns the waiter service. Obviously a restaurant of this level prides itself with polite, client-friendly and professional service by its waiter staff. In Le Senechal that is the case, although we felt that things were a bit over the top: waiters were treating plates, glasses, cutlery and anything else that was placed on or removed from our table almost as if "holy". In absolute silence, and with enormous focus and concentration a plate was set or a little wine poured. It made the experience unnecessarily formal. Having to wait quite a while for someone to bring us our "l'addition" was somewhat in contrast with the high level service during the meal itself. But overall, we'd certainly recommend Le Senechal.
