I looked at the Trip Advisor reviews before our day-trip to Saint Cirq, and we chose this particular place because it was a little off the beaten track (if there is such a thing in such a beautiful but heavily touristy place) and because our children liked the look of the menu. We were very happily surprised by the food and welcoming service. The adults chose the three course menu at 15Euro, and the kids opted for omelettes and frites. (lots of options) I was blown away by the slow cooked lamb for the main dish, very sweet and unctuous. We thought the meal was very good value for money, and what we used to expect from this part of France n the past, but have sometimes been sorely disappointed over the past few years. With a half pichet of Cahors, and the atmospheric view over the pitched lauze rooftops of the village, we spent a very pleasant couple of hours enjoying our meal. Just a word of warning, we did get there early (11.45 am) and reserved a table. As another reviewer pointed out, it does get stupid crowded in the summer months!

This restaurant, (resto to the French) has the best view possible of the church at night! And, thanks to Hugues, the owner and chef (he's been trying to sell it for years.. but now that the village has been voted, by the French, as the country's most beautiful village--made famous after WWII by André Breton who settled there- Hugues may succeded)!

This is a funky restaurant--with ggrat duck and prunes and a new soup every summer. One is quite full uon leaving! And the prices? Well, it's not Paris! (Thank goodness!--mucho cheaper)...

In June and September you don't need reservations, except that now there are so many tour busses that visit--ever since a TV program aired in France about 4 weeks ago.

The Atelier has a few parking spaces, but don't count on parking there....

Nice bar and terrace in centre of the village; great for a drink, snack or meal. Good value and well worth a visit

We arrived over there and the place was stupid crowded. The waitress told us that there were a few free table but they were not ready yet, We waited few minutes and she told us that, if we wanted, we could go set at the table (that they did not clean yet) and wait. So we waited about 10 minutes at a dirty table before somebody showed up to clean it. I understand the place was busy but that was a little bit too much. After that everything was perfect. We ordered all the daily specials. The two appetizers, Melon and Prosciutto (the melon was awesome) and Rillett de Canard (very good) both served with a small salad. As main entrees Lamb (very very good) and grilled duck ( almost off the chain) both served with fried potatoes chips (very delicate with garlic and parsley) , stuffed tomato (they were ok) and the usual small salad. As dessert there was only the lemon tart left but it was so off the chain it made up for the lack of alternatives. The total, including a bottle of very good sweet cider, come to less than 19 euro per person.
Overall, some issue on the staff (i believe they were eating their meal while they had a full house) but not issues at all (I would say kudos) to the food

Almost hidden Gem. Other places in St Cirq are busier but this place is just as good with better views and a wonderfully friendly staff. The owner too speaks English and makes one feel welcome.
