I looked at the Trip Advisor reviews before our day-trip to Saint Cirq, and we chose this particular place because it was a little off the beaten track (if there is such a thing in such a beautiful but heavily touristy place) and because our children liked the look of the menu. We were very happily surprised by the food and welcoming service. The adults chose the three course menu at 15Euro, and the kids opted for omelettes and frites. (lots of options) I was blown away by the slow cooked lamb for the main dish, very sweet and unctuous. We thought the meal was very good value for money, and what we used to expect from this part of France n the past, but have sometimes been sorely disappointed over the past few years. With a half pichet of Cahors, and the atmospheric view over the pitched lauze rooftops of the village, we spent a very pleasant couple of hours enjoying our meal. Just a word of warning, we did get there early (11.45 am) and reserved a table. As another reviewer pointed out, it does get stupid crowded in the summer months!
