We were driving home to the DC area from the Adirondacks and stumbled upon Michael's at lunchtime on a Sunday. Everything was delicious. Great beer list too. Perfect!

“Great place for a small party”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2014

We have a cottage in the area but we live 2 hours away. My parents were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary and we wanted to have a small celebration over the July 4th weekend. As we were spending the weekend at our cottage, we chose Michael's. I spoke to Ben over the phone several times regarding all the details; he was unfailingly pleasant and helpful, especially since the number of guests and the time of our reservation kept changing to accommodate everyone arriving from out of town. He recommended a florist to provide floors for the table and made arrangements for Michael's to provide a delicious raspberry cake (complete with candles). Glasses of champagne and an insert in the menu wishing my parents a happy anniversary made them feel special. We enjoyed the intimate atmosphere, delicious food, and very attentive and friendly staff! We also had a 12-year-old present, and they prepared a special dish for her that was not on the regular menu.

“Very nice..”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2014

Our first visit to this lovely restaurant. Nice atmosphere, food served promptly ,and waitress friendly but not obtrusive. My husband had the “ loaded potato soup”...creamy and tasty. His Pasta Fagioli arrived in a light, perfectly seasoned, not overly heavy sauce. The balsamic chicken sandwich I ordered was juicy and had a nice combination of pesto mayo, spinach and red peppers grilled on sourdough bread. Definitely would go back. About an hour east of Syracuse on Rt 20..a pretty drive and well worth it!

“Good place for a nice meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2014

I have been here twice and would most certainly return.

The converted home is charming in how it is laid out. Simple but classy. Very comfortable layout with nice music playing softly.

The waitress was very professional and friendly.

The menu did not have an extreme number of choices but had plenty of options.

Two of us had the shrimp pasta and one had the open turkey sandwich. We shared a calamari starter. For dessert two of us had a caramel cheesecake and one had a crème brule.

Other than the very average turkey sandwich everything else was very good.

We will be back.
