We went here for a nice dinner during our trip. The food was good and for $30 it's a great bargain. The service can be slow between courses but if you are having a great conversation, you don't notice the slowness.

Exemplary menu! Food truly delightful and delicious! We live in London and eat out alot so do know....

Rooftop restaurant very atmospheric and would have been amazingly romantic if we could stop talking about the food for a few minutes!

I would suggest however you have rooftop drinks at the sister hotel Emerson and Green (where we enjoyed a fantastic stay - highly recommended!). It's like having cocktails and watching the sun go down whilst sitting on a magic carpet above the skyline! Wow! Brisk walk to Emerson and Spice for truly memorable meal. A trip highlight for sure.

Exquisite sunset vibe over Stone Town is a must. The Muslim prayer songs at this time gave me goosebumps. Felt like I was part of a movie.
5 course meal very different but in a good way. However must say I expected a bit more. They make super cocktails! Margaritas were perfect. Would be even greater if it was served in a coctail glass.

After reading raving reviews, had dinner here one night for the renowned five-course carte-fixe meal. The venue was lovely, good ambiance and service, but found the food to be just average.

Was very disappointing with the restaurant. Service was slow. Food came out cold and portions were very small. Got the calamari and it had 4 small rings. Beautiful building but definitely not worth the price.
