“Excellent food, service could be better”

The set menu of five meals is really delicious. Was a fantastic meal up on the roof of Emerson Spice. Service was a little slow and drinks options, particularly of beer was a bit disappointing.

“A unique gourmet experience”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

Fantastic venue tucked into the winding Venice-like streets of Stone Town. The food was incredible; every part prepared carefully, spiced perfectly, and presented impeccably. Along with amicable staff and a breathtaking view over the town and harbour, this fine dining experience is a must if you come to Stone Town. It cost us US$30 each which is pricey compared to other places, but we're glad we did it as a one-off.

Emerson has created a must visit spot on your trip to Stone Town. Great food, service set on a beautiful roof top in the heart of Stone Town. Great selection of drinks and the 5 course meal is creative, tasty and well prepared.

“The classic Stone Town Experience”

We enjoyed the 5 course Zanzibari meal in the rooftop restaurant. Amazing sunset and breezes, very reasonable for such a luxurious experience. You can pay in US $ cash, too.

A very pleasant culinary experience in the heart of Stone Town made even better when the owner (Mr Emerson, formerly of New York) circulated to meet the customers.

Nice service from the waiters.
