Five course meal on the rooftop. Good to see the sunset with a Dawa in hand. The courses were well explained and the food was very fresh and well presented. Nice evening!

We had an evening meal here and it was excellent. Both the ambiance and food were of the highest order. We selected the set menu which was innovative with great flavours.

Service was courteous and attentive without being intrusive.

By far the best meal we had in Stonetown.

I am here reviewing the dinner at Emerson Spice.
On top of a few stories hotel inside Stone Town. The setting is definitely authentic and calm. The dinner is a five course dinner with what seemed to be fusion cuisine from many origins. Cook, staff and owner are nice to meet.
I, here, have to commend on the reservation desk, excellent and professional.
If you plan to eat here, do reserve; the restaurant has only few tables.

We had some lovely coctails on the rooftop of Emerson Spice overlooking the sunset. We then continued with the 5 course menu which was far better than expected. The combinations were tasty and experimental with lots of fruits, vegetables and fresh herbs included in the courses which gave the food a nice sense of freshness. The courses were well explained by the waiters. The small number of tables and the 360 degree view over the rooftops in Stonetown in addition to the nicely decorated restaurant made us feel that we were at a truly spectacular place. We were offered company walking back to our hotel through the winding roads of Stonetown after the dinner. All in all, a truly excellent place which we would love to visit again.

Staying at the hotel and having breakfast is the best treat in the world. Second best: reserving a place at the breathtaking rooftop restaurant for their sumptuous five-course dinner. Also amazing: lunch - inexpensive, beautifully prepared, delicious!
