The food was reasonably priced, tasted great and the presentation was beautiful. The restaurant is small and we had to wait awhile for a table but, I would what again to enjoy another meal at this restaurant.

I prefer their drinks over their meals. Don't be fooled by the names they put on their dishes. The labels are merely suggestions of what it could possibly taste. The meals taste great but they don't taste like what it should be. (e.g. The chicken tandoori does NOT taste like chicken tandoori).

Great range of food, including vegetarian, but it can take up to an hour to get your order, which is fine when you're not in a hurry.

We decided to go to lazuli to eat after reading all the great reviews on here. When we turned up to the restaurant it was already full, a large group of French tourists had taken up 10 of its 15 seats in the restaurant. We were told to come back after an hour as there would be space reserved for us then and the food would be at least an hour as the orders of the French would be processed first.
So we returned after an hour where we found that there wasn't any space as tables had been given to other people that came after us. We waited for another 15 minutes and the waiter sat the 3 of us at a table for 2. He took close to 15 minutes to take all out orders as he seemed to be getting very confused at his own menu.
15 minutes after ordering he came over to us and told us that 2 out of 3 dishes we ordered weren't available, a little bit frustrated we ordered two other dishes.
While we were waiting we noticed that the large French group were receiving their food... An hour and a half after it was ordered!
We knew we were in for a wait, but after another 20 minutes of waiting te waiter came over and told us that the chicken we had ordered was no longer available.
After waiting this long, and the delay in the time in telling us something was unavailable we decided to leave. As we left the waiter called us through the window and told us that the one dish we ordered that was available was almost ready, I told him we wanted to eat together, not just one person eating on his own. At which point he obviously got frustrated and was very rude, but rather then stooping to his level we walke away and found a local restaurant that did an amazing fiorentino pizza for us.
Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes punishing themselves.

Its a great place to eat, a bit secluded from the main road but with the cool decor you will recognise it straight away. Food was great and its not as expensive other mzungu restaurants. two thumbs up!
